hideaway in a setting of bliss. our surf trip was epic and thanks to Surfer Sam and Sweet Sarah the camp was chill and relaxed. Their knowledge and compassion was genuine and they listen with care to your needs as you sway in a hammock or float in the pool

Great place if you like to surf or just want to spend alot of time at the beach. Lots of hammocks to relax on when the day gets too hot. The pool in the middle of the property is always cold, even in the middle of the afternoon. We stayed in a cabina which was really cute, the AC was such a plus! There's a great community that forms here, one night we ended up having a 15 person dinner where we all contributed. The people are great, staff is excellent, thr place is clear and there's good access to Tamarindo (20 mins walking along the beach, then take a boat over the estuary. DO NOT WALK ACROSS THE RIVER. There's Crocs). A couple small restaurants are within walking distance, and a small grocery store. Excellent cafe attached to the hostel - limited hours but great food, make sure you try their homemade ginger beer!

Nice high end hostel with AC in dorms. Quiet and clean. Very close to the beach. Don't book tours thru them, they are charging a lot of fees on top of the tour.

These guys are good at what they do, they are professional and courteous, and reasonably priced. My three kids took a two hour surfing lesson and thoroughly enjoyed it. We also rented a board there on another day and had a pleasant time surfing in Playa Grande.
