This is an extremely well run dive shop. The entire experience is positive thanks to the knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff. The local dive was lots of fun and the Bat Islands Bull Shark diving was spectacular, beautiful boat ride and above water scenery with the added bonus of seeing these sharks in their own habitat.

My 14 year old daughter and I did a discover scuba lesson and 2 dives with them over the last 2 days, every person on staff we came in contact with could not have been nicer, more knowledgeable, or more accommodating. This group was awesome and made our first scuba experience truly exceptional, comfortable, and memorable. I would highly recommend them to anyone who was anywhere nearby to let them be your guides. My adult son and I went diving two days with Rocketfrog. They were great. My son hasn't dove in about 12 years or so and they handled it so well. The had a Dive Master leading us and a safety diver following us. They did a fantastic job!
And found us three sea horses on the first dive!

Did open water certification here with my girlfriend. We had Libby as our instructor and she was fantastic. The dive shop, boat, safety and atmosphere were beyond 5 star. We completed 2 other dives at other dive shops in quepos and rocket frog set the bar unreachable for the competition. Can not say enough good things about this place

Had an amazing time diving with the crew of the Rocket Frog. The owner Michael, was very attentive to our need and what we wanted to do. His crew is perfect too, both disasters and instructors were making sure we had everything we needed and that we were 100% happy.

I wish to thank all the staff at Rocket Frog Divers for an outstanding experience in every way for a week long dive trip.

My son, Christian, who turned 10 years old on October 26th, began with Open Water Certification Course with this company on his Birthday. They were 100% ready for him when he arrived. Paper work, instruction videos, Equipment (including a dive computer) in his size and all other things were a go. Because Christians instructor who's name is Libby and her assistant August, did such a great job with him that the the entire course was completed in 3 days with time to spare. A special thanks to Libby for her excellent and thorough instruction delivered in such a kind and patient manner.

Besides the lessons for Christian, My wife and I did some dives. The Dive Masters on board where the very best one can find. They took all the gear, assembled it, check it and when something was found to not be working correctly (such as my second stage) they had extra gear on board to replace it with. Not only that, they repaired the gear at no extra charge!

I personally wanted to do the famous Bull Shark Dive at Bat Island. This requires a 45 to 60 minute cruise from the dive shop and even if there is no diving the ride out is incredibly beautiful and we saw turtles, dolphins and even a Humpback while on the way to Bat Island and back. I did this dive a second time because the first time, I did not get to see any Bull Sharks - but the trip was still worth it. The second time being led by the extremely competent Dive Master Jason, I saw at least 5 Bull Sharks and close up to be able to see the TEETH - they looked very healthy!

We did 2 more dives this day and saw pretty much everything one would hope for such as White Tip Reef Sharks (about 5 feet away), turtles, Devil Rays and many other rays, eels, HUGE puffer fish and massive amounts of other colorful and exotic species of fish. Again, being led by Jason and Ellie.

Micheal, the owner, is a very kind and organized individual who works hard to make sure everyone has a safe and best time possible being assisted by his special staff.

Rocket frog cares about your safety, they are cognizant of scheduling, and very accommodating! If the weather is poor, they consider your safety and accommodate you appropriately. Safe dive equipment, snacks, music, and fun! Going back to complete my rescue dive course with Nere who is extremely knowledgeable! This is my 3rd time diving with Mike and Nere and I can't complain!

I came here for “8 weeks” to do my divemaster internship, its now been six months and im an open water scuba instructor I would highly reccommend RFD to anyone hoping to dive in this area! I have done the advanced open water diver licence with Nereida and it was a disaster. Each time the dive she really didn't care about the safety or Joy from the dive. Each dive was very short even when we had half tank left and plenty of no deco time. I think our divemaster Nerreida was just lazy to work her time under water with us. Next time I would choose another dive center.

The dive shop at the resort we stayed at could not accommodate me so I contacted Rocket Frog. These guys are great. Tailored the dives for me and the conditions. Had personal divemaster instead of being one of many following along. I highly recommend them! They picked me up on the beach in front of the hotel and dropped me off there afterwards. Great group of people. all friendly and knowledgeable.

I dove with Rocket Frog for two days, and I have to say they ran the most customer oriented dive shop I have ever been with surpassing several different ones in the States I have been with over South Florida. The crew prepared our gear before we even arrived on the boat and helped to switch everyone's gear to their second tanks between dives which is something I have never seen any other dive shop do. The dive masters were friendly and safety focused. I highly recommend this company and will be diving with them again when I return to Costa Rica!

Recently went diving with Rocket Frog and never dove before! The whole staff was very accommodating! Nere and Mike had me in the pool to train and made sure they were there for me step by step! I highly reccomend Rocket Frog! I received my advanced open water certification here and got my nitrox cert as well! All of the staff is very professional and friendly! I had no safety concerns and the staff made me feel very safe and comfortable at all times! They also give you snacks and water and take care of your equipment while you dive with them! Thank you Mike, Nere, and staff for an amazing experience!

Can't trust to hold dive dates or commitments. I was communicating with Michael at Rocket Frog for 6 months in setting up a trip to Cat Island. I had a very tight window due to traveling. When I showed up at 5:30 the day before the dive to fill out my paperwork, he stated the dive trip was canceled and but could get me in a boat going to Cat Islands in 2 days. No call or email stating they couldn't do the trip. I had to book a dive with a different dive shop because I couldn't trust Rocket Frog that they would hold to their word on this new date since they canceled on the one I was setting up over the last 6 months.

Extremely Dangerous Dive Shop - Use at Risk !!!!!
I personally observed multiple issues at Rocket Frog during my one day diving with them. I ended up going to a different dive shop due to safety concerns. One of the issues was:

A new diver was taking his first open water dive after becoming open water certified. I had to assist this diver when he was having trouble with his second stage regulator. He had his second stage regulator out of his mouth, holding his breath, and was shaking it for a good 20 seconds before I could reach him. I swam over and gave I gave him his safety second regulator and calmed him down. The Dive Master in charge of our group showed up 5 minutes later. This inattentive Dive Master could have caused a fatality. The point is not that I had to help because we all help each other when it is needed. The point is that the Dive Master was not monitoring or in a position to assist in a low visibility dive.
