  Nice place, beautiful mountain views and nice people. But we visited hotel in low season - it looks like nothing was prepared for the guests.. the restaurant was closed (but they offered a la carte dinner), we need to ask about toilet paper to the bathroom and tv remote and the hotel was full of workers and they did very horrible noise.

  It is a wonderful place and the team is very friendly. The room is nice and clean. And you can be at the Vulcan Irazu in about 1 hour. Be there between 8-10am.

  Helpful staff, improved food. Great view.
  Coffee was not up to Costa Rican standards. Mattress was hard and painful. Room is spartan with wire shelves and hooks too high for me to reach, no bedside table or light. Curtain rod fell off repeatedly. Shower had nasty water coming up through the drain from somewhere, so we couldn’t shower. Water was tepid in the shower, at best. Shower handle broke off of the valve. Laundry prices were exorbitant. I will never return to this lodge.

  Ganz schlechtes Frühstück !!!!!!
  Nur der Ausblick ist schön , Pool war seit Wochen außer Betrieb und im Internet wird zu viel versprochen Schade!!!

  Do not go here! We got food poisoning from eating dinner here. When I told the employee 3 out of 5 of us threw up during the night he didn't even apoligize, just said that it was not from eating at their hotel. While I'm sure it was. Actually it was the sauce on the chicken. Please don't visit.
