Our two day rafting trip was a real highlight. The rafting and nature was incredible, a mix between serene floats down the river and exciting challenging rapids. The lodging was beautiful and our guide cooked great meals. Disconnect and experience nature in the heart of Costa Rica.
Very nice!
Beautiful place if you want to be off the grid, but there are tons of bugs and wildlife here, but not an issue if you have bug spray or a mosquito net. Stayed in a cute lodge, all walls are essentially mesh for airflow and to keep bugs out (although, they'll sneak their way in every time you open the door). As far as I know, it's only accessible by the river, and I stayed here during an Exploradores white-water rafting tour. There's not much to do but walk around the jungle on a few trails or lay in the hammocks or sit in the kitchen area. So enjoy the views, and sneak a beer and a book or a deck of playing cards in your bag.
This place was amazing! I loved the rafting too
Excellent get away.
This place is paradise. Awesome views of the river, a nearby waterfall, cozy cabins that are mostly screen, and we'll maintained facilities.
There are bugs though, you really are in the middle of the rainforest. Also pack a sweater, pants, dry shoes and a flashlight to make your stay more comfortable. There is electricity from solar panels.
Minimalist lodging in the heart of the rainforest
Totally amazing
One of the best, most interesting places I've ever stayed at. The only way in or out is via whitewater raft, or via helicopter. Our fun river guides doubled as gourmet chefs - the quality of the food is insanely good given that all the food, cooking gear and fuel is rafted in along with us. No electricity meant that we turned in early, but were one with the wild rainforest around us. If you want a secluded getaway, this is the spot. Easily the best part of our Costa Rica tour.
