  Nosara Tico Surf School was rad! I had two lessons with Catalina and they were both great, she was knowledgeable and just fun to be out on the waves with. I took advantage of the free practice afterwards on the second day and despite being beat up and tired I caught some waves with a huge smile on my face!

  Awesome surf instructors! As a clumsy person, they still somehow managed to get me standing up on the board. Definitely would go back!

  Great service at this locally owned surf school. We had 3 private lessons with Keylar who is simply amazing. Teaching slowly, one step at a time, attentive to safety and making sure we had fun. We were up and surfing in no time with Keylar teaching us new things and helping us improve posture and technique with positive feedback and positive reinforcement. The shop has a very friendly atmosphere and Keylar always gave us good tips about where to go on our stay. Would definitely recommend and ask for Keylar although I'm sure everyone is a great teacher in this shop!

  Great coaching and great surf shop. Super nice coaches. I hired Bimbo for a week and he was terrific. Highly recommend!

  We had a great time with the instructors at Tico Nosara! We were all first time surfers – and they were incredibly patient and great with our kids… Would recommend them highly - we went back three times!!

  Without his shop and the people who run it Nosara would not be the same. The level of improvement my partner and I saw from the 6 private lessons we each took was worth every penny. Thank you Tico Surf for the incredible week!

  Nosara Tico Surf school is such an amazing place to learn to surf. From the store front, the staff and the instructors, I've never been more welcomed by any store or business. Everyone who works here seems like they would be so fun to hang out with.
  
  My friend and I booked a group of 3 lessons and we were very impressed by the quality teaching and how quickly we advanced our skills as beginners. By the end of 3 lessons, I rode my first wave (not whitewater!) and it'll always be an unforgettable experience.
  
  My instructor was Michael and he was phenomenal. Next time I'm back in Nosara, I'll be coming back to this surf shop

  While most of the surf shops in the Nosara area are great, Nosara Tico has to be my favorite shop in town. Located in downtown Guiones, this surf shop and school is easy to locate and has all your surf needs covered. Luigi, the owner, is friendly, helpful, and respectful. His prices were more than fair and at no point did I feel like he was hustling me for a quick dollar. To me, that makes a tons of difference whether i'm going to spend money in a shop or not. I genuinely feel as if Luigi was just happy to share the stoke that is surfing with others and for that, he has a loyal customer in me.
  
  P.S. The surfboard he recommended me was perfect and I'm currently having the time of my life.
