Amazing coffee. Stopped by for a cup and to by some beans (no tour), and they ended up showing us how it’s roasted, let us grind it, brew it, etc. Mini tour for free. Great experience and the dark roast is some of the best coffee I have ever enjoyed.

We have been on other plantation tours, and they do not compare to North Fields. I have an increased appreciation for the families that build their lives around the coffee industry, at the grass roots. Every plant on the property has a purpose. They have created their own ecosystem that creates a way of life that should challenge all of us to find a way to lead responsible living that conscionsioisly connects us in kind to the heartbeat of Earth.

I am not a coffee lover by any means but I found this tour really interesting. Our guide Alan was very knowledgeable and showed us the whole process of making a coffee from planting a coffee plant seed to roasting. Another interesting part was making a sugar syrup out of sugar cane. We also tried cocoa beans and the chocolate nibs.

Hands down the best coffee I've had. It was an eye opening experience walking around the grounds (pun not intended) and learning about how this family grows and harvests their coffee. From picking the coffee cherries, grinding the beans, grinding sugar cane, to enjoying two wonderful roasts, I'm glad we had the opportunity to experience this on our trip with Central America Vacation.

This place is the real deal. The farm is small and family owned, and the hosts are both friendly and passionate about coffee farming. Our visit to la fortuna has only just begun, but I already know that our visit to North Fields will be one of the highlights.

I highly recommend the coffee tour at North Fields for everyone that visits la fortuna!! Best cup of coffee that I've ever had. You'll want to leave with a bag or two when you're done!

This was an excellent experience. I am not a coffee drinker. My wife is, but I tagged along. It was insightful and fun even for someone who doesn't drink coffee.

This is a fantastic tour. David, our tour guide, knew everything you can know about the entire production process from planting through brewing. We also ground cocoa to make chocolates from scratch. This 2+ hour tour is very much worth your time.

Great place and even greater tour. You'll see the entire process and taste traditionally prepared coffee. Plant your own coffee tree. Must visit, especially if you are visiting La Fortuna for thermal springs.

Wow. Great tour showing the entire process of coffee. The coffee plants on the site are in all stages of their cycle, so we were able to see blooms, small coffee beans, and ripe coffee beans. There was so much interesting information by a very enthusiastic guide. And a very lovely site.

The best tour I've experienced in Costa Rica. Coffee, fruit, and vegetables are grown here. If you're looking to tour a smaller, personal, and non-corporate plantation, you will love this place.
