Good for the price considering that everything in Drake Bay is expensive..the staff is great and the hostel is pretty well located.

Lame Wi-Fi. They only care about selling you overpriced tours.
Also.. if you water down soap we'll use more. You won't save money you will just piss people off.

Really nice. You've got a kitchen which is a rally money-saving. Bring some earbuds.

Martina knows the area and available activities extremely well. Her hostel has a fun, relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are clean. It is very close to the beach. This was my second time here and I hope to return soon. Thanks Martina!

Although the location was great and the staff very friendly, I've had trouble with the primary function of the hostel - sleeping.

    - The room I stayed in was particularly hot, easily 6-8 degrees (Celsius) warmer than the outside temperature, and with very little air circulation. For my part, this meant no more than 1.5 hours of continuous sleep at a time.

    - The cabins give straight onto a common terrace area, which means that any sleeping past 8:00 am is difficult because of the noise.

    - The mosquito net provided, although a nice touch, didn't allow to properly cover the bed without leaving a part of flesh in contact with the net itself, essentially rendering it partly useless.

Add to this the cold showers in the morning, it really made the 2 nights quite difficult to enjoy. Given the wonderful activities in the area too (Corcovado / Sirena), it's a shame to have to sacrifice on sleep.

Beautiful little hostel close to everything in Drake Bay. The real gem is Martina who was extremely helpful who is just such a caring person. Her place is great for those spending a few days, or like us needed a place before and after our trip to Sirena Ranger Station. Great value, great atmosphere, great lodging, greatest host.

Friendly Hostel. 2 min. to beach and supermarkets. Small restaurant and big kitchen for self cooking. Dorms $13p.p. Private room from $40 for 2 persons. All tours to Corcovado, Caño Island and more.

The drinkable water was broken. I was told it was broken 2 weeks long and was just fixed. It wasn't fixed again within my stay. If you advertise drinkable water you should provide it. Als the hostels location in the middle of the town is mediocre. You see very little wildlife by sitting in a hammock there. Maybe a bird flying over. I would advice to just go to Puerto Jimenez and not to drake bay at all. It has more nature, easier access to Corcovado and more facilities that come with a larger place.
