We just stayed at the Copa De Arbol for a week-- it was amazing. The service and staff were incredibly hospitable. The rooms were beautiful, well maintained and air conditioned. Food was outstanding. I cannot recommend Copa De Arbol enough!

Wow! This is my first thought/feeling/reaction when I think about our time at Copa de Arbol, where my wife and I spent the later half of our ten day Costa Rican Honeymoon. Words truly cannot do this place justice. From the incredible food and fresh juices, seamless excursions, breathtakingly beautiful grounds, and thoughtful staff, there isn't a single thing I'd change (well, perhaps the fact that we only spent four nights here.I could have easily handled another five). Copa de Arbol sits on a secluded beach about a five minute boat ride from Drake Bay, which in turn is accessed by a 45 minute plane ride from San Jose. It is perfectly poised for easy access to island snorkeling, paddle boarding, fishing, private sunset boat cruises with champagne, jungle hiking, and is a 1hr and 45 minute boat ride from Cordovan National Park. For those nature enthusiasts, this park is a must. And after returning from your long day of adventure, the three tier infinity pool is a perfect place to soak any sore muscles. Then it's off to a gourmet dinner followed by relaxation in your A/C climate-controlled casita, which provides plenty of space, comfortable beds, and the sound of crashing waves as you fall asleep. Wow!

If you'd like a luxurious place to stay in a rainforest with both a pool and a natural sand beach, try Copa de Arbol. The food is great. The staff are extremely helpful and are happy to arrange trips for wildlife viewing to Corcovado and Sierpe. Fishing and snorkeling excursions are also possible.

So magical I've gone back with friends. You can't get better lodgings literally inside the jungle canopy. Expect to see white faced and howler monkeys, toucans, scarlet macaws, three-toed sloths less than 6 feet from your bungalow doorway.

Copa de Arbol is within my top 3 favorite hotels in all Costa Rica AND it's located in my favorite region, The Osa Peninsula. There are only 10 thatched-roof bungalows that are all (wonderfully) decorated with an eco-chic, Balinese vibe. Every bungalow comes with A/C, which is a luxury feature in itself when staying down in The Osa Peninsula. Copa de Arbol is also one of the few accommodations in The Osa to have its own beach directly in front of the reception. They also have a pool, jacuzzi, and an a la carte, rotating menu for your meals (included). The food is incredibly fresh and delicious. If you're a fan of seafood, definitely chose the dish of the day from the sea - you won't regret it. If you're a diver, this is the best dive spot in Costa Rica, although do expect some stronger currents. There is great snorkeling as well as deep sea fishing. We were fortunate enough to find a pod of dolphins and bring in 7 tuna (releasing 3 sailfish), feeding all the guests dinner that night at the hotel with our fresh catch! This is the perfect boutique resort for couples and families that appreciate an eco-luxury hotel with great service in an off-the-beaten-path, nature-rich, non-touristy location. ~Theresa Parent, Central America Vacation.
