Beautiful location, wonderful yoga, and the best vegan food I've ever had. A truly relaxing retreat.
The food is amazing, the yoga room is breathtaking, and the staff us phenomenal. Go to Blue Osa with an open heart, speak Spanish with the staff even if your Spanish is bad, they will help you learn. The Osa peninsula has so much to offer. I suggest getting massage or acupuncture and going surfing when you visit.
I went to Blue Osa for the 200 hour teacher training. Loved the staff, the property and the beach immensely. The place was kept very clean and tidy. The food was wonderful and Yogi Aaron and Yogi Karina were delightful and amazing.
I made so many new friends. I will never forget this experience! I'm proud to have been teaching yoga for the past 3 1/2 month and feel that the knowledge I gained on this trip has brought me the confidence and skill to be a great teacher!
I spent a whole month in Blue Osa for my YTT in October 17. It was one of the best time in my life. The place, Yogi Aaron and his staff: everybody was friendly, warmhearted and always in a good mood - everything was great. I learned a lot and it transformed my life.
The nature around this beautiful place is awesome, I really miss the sound of the rainforest, the howlers and all the different birds. The silence in the morning hours is a duty, and the meals are just outstanding!
Thanks you all so much!! I'll never forget the people and this special month in my life in Blue Osa.
I truly can't say enough about this transformative property. The Blue Osa experience is one I could never do justice to through words- one has to experience if for themselves. Whether you are planning a vacation or an immersion, Blue Osa can help you find what you are looking foreven if you don't even have any idea what that might be.
For those of you wanting to deepen your yoga practice, Aaron and Karina are experienced, patient and candid teachers from subjects ranging from asanas to mediation to doctrine interpretation! They too are students of incredible teachers/ yoga practitioners and pass on the truth and wisdom they have been entrusted with from the sages!
Yoga is so much more than the asanas and Blue Osa has a way of making magic! while helping you realize all the potential that lays inside of each and everyone of us!
I can't say enough about it!!!! I want to go back and do my 300 hour ASAP!!! Much love and light!
The property was so beautiful and very well maintained. The staff was seriously incredible they were always so kind, happy and attentive to the guests needs. I got sick while I was thereI was taken care of so well, soup and tea brought to my room and I was checked on by multiple people. It made the experience much easier to deal with. I could talk about the food forever! I am a picky eater and I promise there was nothing served I didn’t like. The only thing I could say I wasn’t happy with was cold showers on rainy days. I understand the eco friendly aspect to solar heated water which made it tolerable. It definitely wouldn’t keep me from returning.
I did my 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Blue Osa in July 2017. If you are ready to dig deep and find who you really are and what your true potential is in this life, then look no further!
I had followed an amazing 200-hour YTT at Blue Osa, so I knew what I was getting into!
The 300YTT was so much more: ideal for Yoga practitioners who want to get deeper into their practice - and I am not talking about circus tricks but about true Yoga.
THE TEACHINGS were inspiring and based on the well-established Himalayan Tradition.
THE TEACHERS (Aaron and Karina) were compassionate and ever-so motivational.
THE COOKS (shout-out to French chef Marie) were passionate true artists.
THE STAFF was overall phenomenal - always beaming with a smile while doing their masterful work. A shout-out to the multitalented manager Michael.
Everything in this place allows you to grow and feel at ease while searching deep within yourself for the leader who is ready to change this world for the better.
Don't get me wrong: hard work is involved - but only by challenging ourselves do we grow. And where else would you rather do it than in paradise? By the majestic beach, surrounded by powerful Mother Nature, being one with wonderful people and radiant creatures, fed heavenly food and taken care of by the best of the best.
I KNOW I will be back one day. For now, I'm out here changing the world one person at a time :)
Blue Osa is one of the most incredible places to practice yoga. It is a beautiful place near the ocean.
It is an exuberant place where you can see a lot of animals, birds and plants. The energy is amazing. The owner and the staff are very gentile and respectful
Living the yoga experience in blue osa makes me feel more in touch with my feelings and myself.
Thank you Yogi Aron for all your supoort!
What a wonderful home away from home!! I stayed at Blue Osa for five weeks. It was my first time traveling outside of the country. I traveled alone, and dont speak any spanish! It was easy to get there. The staff was incredible. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful. The meals were amazing. My room (#4, Harmony) stayed very cool throughout the day.
If you love natural beauty, beaches, jungles and a chance to see wildlife, then you will love Blue Osa. Even when you are "inside" the yoga studio, or the common area, it always feels like you are right in the middle of beachy jungle beauty. This is an incredible place to come and recharge, do a yoga retreat, or a teacher training program!
Blue Osa offers an incredible space for deep spiritual practice, ample shady outdoor places for reading, a beautiful temple and yoga studio for groups or individuals.
If you are looking for a home away from home to recharge your soul and transform your life, look no further than Blue Osa!
The hotel is the ideal place to calm the mind and body, it is a quiet and simple place that connects with nature. On the way to the hotel you feel that you enter a forest, then you arrive at the hotel and you feel the sound of the ocean and everything that surrounds you. The hotel staff are friendly and cordial, you also have the opportunity to share with the other guests, so you feel in good company. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. No frills, this allows you to connect with nature, walk on the beach, enjoy the sea, swim in the pool, relax in any space and the food is always great. Excellent place to hopefully visit again.
Blue Osa is a truly magical place and the ideal oasis on the Osa! The staff are all friendly and super helpful, the food is fresh farm-to-table and delicious, the resort itself is gorgeous with a beautiful yoga studio, stunning garden, lap pool and perfect beach at the door. There’s an onsite spa where you can pamper yourself and lots of activities that can easily be organised in the neighbouring jungle. Do yourself a favour and stay here, just be warned that you won’t want to leave!
I attended the 300 hour yoga teacher training immersion in July 2017. Blue Osa is a magical place!! Your surrounded my nature, welcoming staff, and delicious farm fresh food! My experience attending the 300 yoga teacher training was life changing!! Yogi Aaron is a great mentor, and full of knowledge.
Blue Osa is a retreat in the most classical sense of the word. It is remote and energizing in a way that nothing else can be. It takes a little time to get there, but that is a prerequisite for any place like this. I mean, there's a private beach. And, it's gorgeous. Obviously, it has to be remote. Its worth the trip. Yogi Aaron has carved out a little oasis in the jungle. So, if you're reading this, you should have already looked at the pictures. You know it looks beautiful. It's also really comfortable. There are lounge chairs set up to watch the sunrise on the water. The pool is chemical free and cleaned through osmosis. In my opinion, if you're thinking of going, do it, and add one extra day.
I took my Yoga TT here. This is such a personal decision, I'm not giving any advice on what to do (though this is a 5 star review). But, if you do go, then go ready to learn. I personally underestimated how much work it would be. And how amazing. So, just go ready to learn. Yogi Aaron gives a prescription for before going to the Osa. Do those. All the things he says. He's a smart man, but more importantly, he's done this before and he speaks from experience.
Out of this world experience! Totally relaxing and rejuvenation. Felt totally taken care of.
The best of Costa Rica: Blue Osa is such a special place that words don’t do it justice. If you are looking for a vacation, yoga retreat or simply some time away to nurture self, look no further. Blue Osa has it all. It is jungle luxury…the rooms, services, people and food are beyond words. The food alone is worth the trip. They have a team – a family of chefs that nourish you with delightful nourishing cuisine. If you want adventure and excursions – they have a ton and Michael (the guest service manager) coordinates it all for you. He is just awesome! If you want to relax and treat yourself to countless spa treatments, then they have some of the best I have experienced. It is a place to unwind, unplug and nurture self in a deep and wonderful way. Fabulous is all I can say. There are plenty of resorts out there, but none have mastered the magical formula quite like Blue Osa.
I highly recommend the Blue Osa YTT immersion experience. In addition to learning about teaching yoga, the immersion is a spiritual and personal evolution opportunity- in terms of relationship with self, with others/community, and with the world at large. The world would become a gentler, kinder, more cooperative, satisfied, peaceful and fun place if every person were filtered through this type of experience. Yogi Aaron is a very experienced yogi and a lake of knowledge. Drink in as much as you can.
The aesthetics of the location are divine. Right on the beach, nestled in nature, with monkeys and tucans, and simple yet exquisite open-air architecture of the buildings. You can feel the calming effect of integrating with nature rather than muscling through the artificial world in which many live. If you are seeking an ultra-posh spa experience with AC and lavish amenities, I would recommend a vacation at a hotel. This experience is about beauty, nature, and community. The food was excellent and the support staff are very attentive. The rooms and the rest are very clean, simple and naturally elegant. The manager is consistently available to answer questions and seemed happy to help make arrangements of nearly any variety. He even saw us to our cars upon departure, reminding us to make sure we had our passports for the travel home. I am not an experienced traveler, and feeling that experienced folks would effort to guide me was heartwarming while on my own in a foreign country.
Blue Osa is hands down (in downward facing dog) the BEST place to have a retreat, go on a quick getaway - or a long one ! I will be going back for my third year in a row next April and I can't wait to be there. You will be nourished and nurtured by the amazing staff, they take care of every detail, as well as the beautiful surroundings, it is truly heaven on Earth. The farm-to-table food is the best food I've ever had, it makes you feel incredible, you WILL take their cookbook home with you! Because it is right on the ocean, yet surrounded by beautiful jungles, you get the best of the best. The spa, the chemical-free pool, the yoga studio you will want to simply stay! There are a huge variety of tours to take as well, I always felt super safe (I brought my two teens last year) and we went horseback riding, waterfall rappelling, surfing, zip-lining, it was incredible. That's why I'm going back! So much gratitude for Blue Osa, you are always in my heart!
