  Spent here couple hours waiting for a ferry. Tasty ceviche, fresh fruit juice. Everything was good

  Worst experience, I was here with a large group and the service was hideous. We got our food 2 hours after we ordered and most of the dishes were wrong. Taste was also bad and food very greasy. People from other tables we also mad, many of them actually leaving without eating.

  While there are better restaurants in Puntarenas, Manglamar is a good choice. It is located about a block from the beach with a view of the ocean (if you can get one of the tables by the street corner) and across the street from the swimming pool complex. The food is ok and well presented. Both the ceviche and rice with seafood were somewhat light on the seafood (shrimp, octupus, clams) with more fish. The fish fillet was good and the pork ribs were tasty if somewhat dry.

  This restaurant is close by the Puntarenas Lighthouse. You do not get the view of the lighthouse from the resturant but you can see the sea even though it is not next to the water. Their food is pretty good and the price is a fair tourist price. Great beef and seafood dishes. There is a small bar on the side of the resturant.
