This is a review only for the restaurant. My family ate here for dinner while on vacation and were blown away.

Our vegetarian 11 year old daughter loved the chips and pico de gallo, with the mild house salsa. She asked us to bring house salsa home to the US. To give perspective, this niña is the same one who requests buttered noodles 90% of the time eating out.

She also shared the nachos for two which was served in a Pyrex dish. I understand our family may eat lighter than others, but these nachos could have been a meal for the four of us, and that was still with no meat, to respect our vegetarian.

The 13 year old carnivore daughter got chicken fajitas, and could only finish 3/4 of the dish due to its size. She loved the flavor and also generously poured on the mild salsa.

My wife had chicken skewers and enjoyed them. I had the Tamarindo burrito, which was delicious! I liked the touch of the tzatziki sauce and the mixed fresh veggies in the burrito. And I topped it with the hot version of the house salsa.

I asked the waitress if the house salsa was available to ship in large barrels. Sadly, not yet. We got two small jars (mild and hot) to bring to the US instead.

At the end, my wife observed that was the first meal we had in Tamarindo, on our fourth vacation night, where we all loved what we ate and still had leftovers. Great food and great value.

I rarely post negative feedbacks but this place is a shame. Extremely loud music until the early morning. Im in my bed right now and I feel like im right in the middle of the dance floor. There is only 2 persons dancing and the d.j keep the volume to maximum power. Very bright light in the room as well, curtains are transparent and walls paper thin. Staff didnt want to give me a key to my room as they dont have enough for everyone. So when the door is locked i have to run around and try to find a "volunteer" to get a key. Avoid at all cost.

This place is nice to go to. I regretted not booking this hostel since I passed so much time over there. It is a fun place to go at all times of the day. The breakfast they have are perfect before good surfing day. Then by the night, the atmosphere is very relax because there is always a lot of people, but the place is not too loud because it is outside. You can play pool and foosball (baby foot) if you like.

One of my favorite places in Tamarindo! All the staff members and even the owners work really hard at making you feel at home..and genuinely seem to have fun doing so. Awesome aura with good lighting and comfortable seating. Perfect place to have drinks with friends , shoot some pool or listen to live music. It would be a great spot to take a date..now I just need to work on finding one :-). Food wise, 2 words come to mind STUFFED CHICKEN!!! It's glorious!

By far the best hostel in Tamarindo. Great staff! The bar and restaurant is so much fun at night, a lot of locals hang out there. Guaranteed good time!

Awesome place with a great vibe! The owner was very kind to us and accommodating after we had an issue with booking. Food is absolutely delicious and the staff are all helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Tamarindo. Great price, value and ambiancealso, there's hot water and the rooms are very clean! Can't be beat - Pura Vida

Centric location within party area and close to beach. It has a good restaurant and many tables. The rooms lock could not be opened.

Very relaxed hostel. Run by an owner that you find helping the staff in every situation. Great life music, clean rooms (a little noisy), chilled restaurant and friendly ppl.

Great atmosphere if you don't mind the noise. We stayed in the cabin as which were clean and comfy and included breakfast which was one of the better ones we were served. Overall would definitely recommend

If you don't want to sleep, this is the hostel for you. Located in the downtown area, close to everything yes, but it's busy and noisy all hours of the day and night. With a bar located right in front, it's loud til 2-4am and then you get to be woken up by someone banging on the roof right above your head at 8am. No handsoap in the bathrooms. The only plus I can give this place, is the coffee that is offered with the room. The cabinas are nicer but the dorm rooms, I would not recommend unless you plan to drink yourself stupid.

The worst hostel ever, it's so loud and noisy. I do understand that this hostel has a bar so the bar has to keep the music on. But even after the bar's closed the hostel doesn't care about playing a guitar, singing a song, or how loud the guests get. It seems like this hostel doesn't know what 'quite time' is basically. You wouldn't get any sleep here.
The facility is so-so.

Good clean rooms and great staff. Great bar space out the front, plus side is the great vibe and live music, downside was noisy on Fri and Sat nights until 1am.

This place is so convenient; great atmosphere, great services and very comfortable, we absolutely felt in love. The 2 hours surfing class was great value I terms of price and quality. Johnny our instructor was very friendly and super professional. After our lessons we stayed for a couple of beers and a meal. Service was great and we could truly feel the community vibe. Next time we will travel in Tamarindo we will stay at this hostel. Highly recommended the stuff chicken with mushrooms sauce salad.

Great atmosphere of the beach town. Great spot to have a drink, talk to fellow travelers and surfers. Highly recommend to try their stuffed chicken in the restaurant.
