Very good hearted and trustworthy guy.His professionalism and service was outstanding. He actually kept safe my two phones which i had left at the pool bar plus i was able to catch my flight Just in time courtesy of him.Thank you so much GEORGE and keep up for good work.Thank you flamingo family would recommend a friend.
Absolutely loved my stay! The hotel is all outdoors, through the foyer and all the halls to rooms. Most of our rooms had balconies. The lower floor rooms had hammocks! So if you want the basic room, it's worth it for the hammock. The resort is pretty small, if you're at the pool you can see every building or restaurant. From the pool to the beach is steps away, you do have to cross a small road which isn't very busy. The spa was great and way more than expected. They have a waiting area with a steam room and mineral bath, showers as well .I did use a shower to rerinse all the sand off of me. Do the tours!! There are so many to choose and worth it!!
The staff here is one of a kind . The friendliest and most genuine people!! They made our stay unforgettable. I had a group of 14 for my wedding stay here. They learned all of our names and our orders after day one 😂 Rosaura was my wedding coordinator and she made everything perfect. It was a simple wedding and she made it so special. They had the guitarist at the ceremony, he played Clair de lune so perfectly. The table setting up in the Sunset Lounge was beautiful. The cake was delicious! I requested a marble cake with cream cheese frosting and it was to die for. The DINNER oh my, it was fantastic. The caprese salad, steak and chicken, all of it was fantastic. The bartenders upstairs were a riot! Alexis was amazing. She helped during the reception dinner and helped on our last night with a champagne toast for us .I could go on for days.
It was a perfect wedding and stay for the whole week, April 4-11, 2018. I give all credit to the staff and their hospitality. We will be back!! Thank you for a great time!!
Highly recommend staying at this resort! Everything about it was awesome. The staff, facility, restaurant, and bar was perfect. You can either lay out bask in the sun, play tennis, or engage in a friendly game of water polo. Also setting up excursions was a breeze. Loved the mornings eating breakfast at the rooftop pavilion and swimming up to the pool bar for all day drinking. Definitely will come back for sure!
Great resort, it's steps away from the beach. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is helpful and friendly
Very slow and poor service. The worker who checked me in never mentioned the hotel required you to have a credit card on file, so when I went to pay for a meal with cash I discovered I couldn't. The receptionist also never gave me a towel card for the pool, and the pool does not allow you to bring outside towels. Additionally the workers were generally rude and short when answering questions. There were some waiters and waitresses that were fantastic though. But the few poor encounters I had left a bad taste in my mouth for the entire stay. It's not a place I would go to again.
Reservation staff extremely rude. Have stayed at this resort many times. It is a nice older resort. Beautiful location, beautiful pool. Some of the rooms and bathrooms are a little tired and old. Usually the staff are pretty good. This year the reservation staff were horrible. So much so we decided to go stay somewhere else.
We had our wedding at Flamingo Beach Resort in February 2017 and would highly recommend to other couples!! Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. We were paying for the Honeymoon Suite for 3 nights, but they gave us a free upgrade so we could stay there our first night too! We checked in to a very spacious suite with champagne chilling on ice. I loved that suite, and it was great for allowing our friends and family to visit us. The wedding coordinator, Milady, was fantastic and she did everything for us, so that all we had to do was choose what we wanted for food, flowers, decorations, etc. It was so stress-free to be able to just show up to our own wedding with everything in place and ready to go. The garden reception was beautiful - loved the ambiance of the Chinese lanterns, sunset, and fresh ocean breeze. The food was yummy too. We paid for the open bar for 1 hour and the bartenders were great! They were so fun and generous with the alcohol, not at all stingy which can happen at open bars. We also had some guests not staying at the resort, and they allowed us to get wristbands for them to visit us without having to pay a bunch of money. It was so wonderful staying at a resort that didn't nickle-and-dime us and instead seemed like they truly wanted us to have the best time. All of our guests had nothing but good things to say about the wedding, reception, and the resort. The area is very fun as well, with a few other restaurants and bars within easy walking distance of the resort. Given the choice I would do it all over again.
Great service friendly people.
Food was good but not great..
Great location across from the beach.
A little noisy in the room. Music from the bar, birds early in the am, and the waves crashing on the beach.
Bed was not as comfortable as could be. Overall it was very good .
Resort was nice. Rooms are spacious and bed was comfortable. Unfortunately the wifi never worked in my room (1113) I called to report this but nobody came to fix problem and the pool bar closed at 6pm really?? Breakfast buffet was not good either. Lunch and dinner was ala cart and was very good. Staff was friendly. Shower head was poor. Sink had slow drain
We had booked a FAMILY vacation and when doing so it was STATED we would have 2 rooms, I did not quite understand why.(We never use 2 rooms) I went with their recommendation since this is the first time traveling to Costa Rica. I figured the travel agent must know best! (rooms must be different there)
When we got to our first destination and saw our room, I was surprised about the recommendation of 2 rooms, this was a family vacation NO reason to be separated! The room was huge and easily fit our family of 4. We immediately went to management and asked that we cancel this room and get credit to our account. This is where Pacific Trade Winds did us WRONG! I explained the language barrier and the agents recommendation of 2 rooms, they did not seem to care.
This happened at Arsenal Paraiso and Flamingo Resort! This vacation was costly and I am disappointed in BOTH resorts and their willingness to accommodate a customers request.
I think their agents need to ask "How many rooms will you need?"
The good: breakfast was outstanding. The swimming pool was great. The room was nothing special, actually too big - tv was a mile away. Bathtub nice. Too many rules with pool hours and god forbid your not wearing your wristband. The morning before checkout i took mine off and then went to breakfast, the breakfast monitor was quite aggressive as if i were sneaking food. I understand thats how they make sure their aren't Any freeloaders, but use a little tact. I would recommend, with hesitation.
We arrived 8/27 went to the pool bar and was greeted by Elias he was so nice and the drinks were grea! The next day we met Alicia and she is also wonderful. They work great together and are so friendly. We have a few more days here and we look forward to going to pool bar. Let them know you read about them here!
I would like to say how much I loved the resort and the staff. Everything absolutely beautiful and perfect. I would like to single out one particular employee, Alicia. Her professionalism and service was outstanding. She treated us unbelievably and always has a smile on her face. Also Elias the poll bartender was absolutely terrific. I will recommend this place to all my family and friends.
Bbeautyfull White sands Beach .fantástic vew . Lots of activities to do . And pura vida people
Great service, location, and weather! Everyone is so so nice and the food was great.
We really enjoyed staying in this hotel, food is great, nice pool, jus few steps from the beach and because the resort is not that big it's never too crowded. The staff of the hotel are very kind and they always treat you very nicely. The other thing I liked is that they offer different options to stay in it, i.e.: you can decide to just pay for the room, or pay the room plus breakfast or there's the option for the all inclusive which is what we paid at the end and I'm not regret at all. The beach is awesome, one of our favorite from Guanacaste, you always get to see the sunset!!! We just loved it and that's why I'm giving 5 stars, hope we can get back soon!!
Nice hotel right across from tiny dirt road from beach. Great pool that the kids loved, and Greddy was awesome at getting everyone involved in fun activities and making everyone feel at home. 2 restaurants on site - we ate at the less expensive one for one dinner and one lunch. The menu is rather uninspired, but didnt get a chance to check out the more expensive restaurant. The included breakfast buffet was good. Rooms were nice and clean, and even our "limited view" 1st-floor room had a nice patio with a hammock and opened right up to the pool area (would have been nice to be able to lock and unlock the patio door to be able to go directly from the room to the pool). My mom's room down the hall had some problems (broken patio door, broken toilet), but were all fixed right away after she called. Fairly inexpensive place and not too badly located, though still an hour or two from Liberia airport.
Idealy located on Flamingo beach with the possibility to watch a beautifull sunset, great pool bar.
Second and last time.
In June we booked two rooms for a week over the New Years holiday. We booked for two adults and two teenage kids (boy and girl).
We booked one room with a king bed and one room with two separate beds (obviously) for the kids.
We had no other requests.
We didn't care about ocean view, floor level, proximity to reception or rooms adjoining or even on the same floor or block. We got here three days ago and we're told they have us in two rooms with one bed in each room.
They offered a fold up bed for the kids' room. Three days later the kids are still sleeping in the same bed.
Nothing from management.
There is no desk in either room. There is a blank spot where the desk is normally located. To use my laptop I have to stand by the bureau. I asked for a desk, even a temporary one. Same response as the fold up bed request.
I prefer to address issues with management to give them a chance to make things right before I let everyone else know. I don't have an urge to come back.
Lovely place by the sea. The staff was very friendly and the service was top notch. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to our friends. Their restaurant prices turned out to be cheaper than any others if you were to venture out. They serve scrumptious breakfast (on the house) with many options to please all kinds of palettes.
