I went on the bird watching tour which was great, were saw lots of gorgeous wildlife and the guide was very knowledgeable. I also visited the restaurant for a buffet breakfast which was surprisingly good. The food was diverse, fresh, and very tasty.

Overpriced. Out of place. Too modern for the location. Good food but too expensive. This is not a lodge, it's a monstrous resort. Saved by the view.

Hands down the best luxury hotel and resort in the area. Multiple pools and hot tubs, delicious restaurant, free shuttles into town, in house nature reserve, gorgeous rooms with wonderful amenities, friendly staffI could go on and on.

An out of place oversized Ultra modern hotel. It's not a lodge. The view is fantastic. The dining room is slow and overpriced but the view makes up for it. Almost.

My favourite hotel in Costa Rica. The best place, the best view and the rooms are simply stunning doesn't matter if you stay on a forest view because this rooms are wonderful. I will go every time I can.

Very nice place. We only went to the restaurant. The service was a little slow but the food was very good. Some of the dishes were not available but they let is know as soon as they gave us the menu to make sure we did not order them.

Wow is my first though when I think of this place. Lagarta Lodge exceeded our expectations from the moment we walked in. Upon arrival to the property, my boyfriend and I were greeted with cold minted towels to refresh. We were escorted to the restaurant to have a welcome complementary drink. The view from the restaurant is breathtaking. Our room was phenomenal. The decoration is modern contemporary detailed to perfection. The view from the room is priceless. Everyone in the hotel was very professional and accommodating. One night we decided to eat dinner at the hotel restaurant with other guests we met earlier in the pool. We were celebrating my boyfriends birthday. The manager came to introduce himself while we were having dinner and we were offered a complementary bottle of wine due to the occasion. From the moment we checked in and out we felt in paradise. Please stay Lagarta Lodge, I promise you will not regret it!

This is a top notch hotel. The grounds are charming, the resturant is good, and the views are fantastic and the staff is friendly and helpful. Skip the steak.

Great architecture, setting and attention to detail. This is not USA thank goodness so if you need gluten free bread, or have peanut allergies, or feel your GMO count is too high you might not want to come to C.R. At all. But if you want an amazing place to sleep, hang out, sit by the pool, feel important, get away from the masses this is an inspiring place. Worth every dime. You will thank me later. Wait actually this place is awful and hope no one comes here so I can have it to my self next time we come.
