To be honest, this place wasn’t great. I was hoping for a lunch with a great view. That was pretty much the only positive thing. The waiters/waitresses didn’t welcome us well and weren’t helpful. They were actually rude when asking for a repeat of smoothie flavors. The nachos came out soggy and French fries were not handled well. The ketchup seemed very watery and gross. My friend ordered a hamburger and it was infested with maggots. Flies came out with the food and wasn’t reassuring. I didn’t have a pleasant except for the view. This is my experience, I hope this doesn’t reoccur to someone else.

Great breakfast spot. We recommend all our guests to try this place. They serve good food, great café but the view is what everyone comes for. Enjoy your breakfast overlooking the Pacific coastline, it's gorgeous.

The restaurant has a pretty view. The food is good . In general the service is polite, except for an incident we had with the owners daughter-in-law who spoke to us rudely because we politely asked her if she could clear the bar so we could sit where we could see the view.

This place is great. The food is very good, but the view is the draw here. One of the best views you'll see from a restaurant in Costa Rica.

Might honestly be my favorite hour of my 11 days in Costa. Simple food, fresh and hot and delicious. Reasonable price, friendly people, interesting history on the walls. And the view really, just go. Have the best simple cup of coffee ever and just appreciate how beautiful the countryside can be.

Absolutely our favorite restaurant in Costa Rica. Good food , good prices - the view is priceless. If travelling west from San Jose use Highway 3, which in itself is a great experience, so you can stop at the cafe for a good meal and a great view.

Great food in nice quaint location. I didn't get to enjoy the view because went later in the day and was always foggy, which was cool and like eating in the clouds.

Get a taste of Costa Rican food in the mountains with a fresh cool breeze and an amazing view of the mountains and the pacific ocean in the distance.. Great coffee..

I had a lovely visit for lunch on the way to Aranal here. Fabulous food and a very delicious, if not very very sweet creme milkshake. The only downside would be the amount of flies but that can't be controlled and everything makes up for it. The amazing view is really inspiring and I would definitely recommend this cafe!

The view is awesome. It's worth a stop just for that. But we also enjoyed the food. There are plenty of choices on the menu and it's all safe for Americans to eat and drink there. Service was a little slow but that gave you more time to enjoy the incredible panoramic view where on a clear day you can see all the way to the Pacific Ocean.
