Pro: very nice view, room was clean and fresh, a very very nice breakfast and really nice host!
Cons: when we arrived there was a party just @ house nearby so it was difficult to sleep. Electricity loss on the morning and maybe we were Lucky as the eléctrical solution in the shower wasn't the best.
Would I visit it again? No.
Would I recomend it? If you are going to stay one or two nights: yes!
It is a very nice hotel to rest and the service very good.
Lovely, relaxing spot to stay for a night or two.
Incredible sunrise Vistas over the mountains. Superb staff very friendly and warm. Gorgeous accommodations. Unbeatable breakfast!
Wow words can't begin to explain how wonderful our experience was at Case Amanecer. Helen was amazing, catering to every need and making us feel welcome. The environment is the perfect amount of local atmosphere, quality accommodation and with a beautiful view.
I should mention what this Case Amanecer is not. It's not a suite cut off from the outside world. You will be localed right next to the locals and living with them. There are dogs barking from time to time and the sound of motorcycle going by. I personally don't see this as a negative, but you are looking for a secluded get away you might have a problem with the area.
The room we stayed in was quaint, with an up scale feel. With the view from the room over looking the central garden area and wind flowing in fresh mountain air there is nothing to be desired. It just made you want to relax. I must have sat there for hours just taking in the environment.
Breakfast in the morning has to have been one of the best meal I have ever had. Helen was nice enough to cater to our dietary needs, making vegan options for my wife. I just loved relaxing I the rocking chairs and sipping on coffee in the morning.
Casa Amanecer is the perfect first stop for your trip in Costa Rica. Right out side of San Jose, it makes a perfect jumping point to your next destination where that would be La Fortuna, or Jaco. You just might stay longer than you thought, enjoying San Ramón. We did.
Wonderful stay.Helen is a very warm and helpful.Enjoyed the delicious breakfast at the sun warmed terrace and enjoyed the garden view and the chIrving of the birds.Overall , I would want stay again at this place because of its beautiful location and warm hospitality.
The beaches in Costa Rica are supposed to be amazing (and I will check them out) but you can't forget about coffee country surrounding volcanic areas near San Jose. To explore them you need a clean, friendly, and safe place to stay. Casa Amanecer offered exactly that. They were a complete pleasure and wonderful welcome to our vacation!
I added a gap between my arrival to San Jose and domestic flight to Quepos so we could rent a car, get a long rest, then checkout the amazing volcanic parks. All while enjoying a delicious caffeine buzz to launch us into the rest of our trip.
