Super nette Familie, bei der man sich gleich zu Hause fühlt. Das Mittagessen war sehr lecker! Ca. 300 m entfernt gibt es einen schönen Strand, den wir ganz für uns alleine hatten.

Didn't get a chance to stay here, but Manito and his family were so warm and welcoming, we wish we could have! You get to serve your own meal, and feel free to grab seconds. No menus, either. They'll ask about your dietary restrictions and cook up a lovely home cooked meal. So good!

La Casa de Manito (Hospedaje Manito) is a rural family owned guest house and restaurant located in Punta Cuchillo, about 80 meters from a calm beach and about 1.5 kilometers from the Ferry Naviera Tambor traveling between Puntarenas to Paquera. The surrounding area is rural, peaceful and beautiful including local fisherman and lodge offering multiple tours including kayak excursions. You can access the area through a dirt road that starts at the boarding point of the ferry.

La Casa de Manito offers a very basic but clean accommodation for about 40 U.S dollars per person per night. The price for couples sharing a room is 60 dollars per room.

Upon arriving to Hospedaje Manito you feel like you have joined a family gathering of your long lost Costa Rican cousins. Mani, a happy smiling Tico is warm and inviting, introducing you to his mother Rosa and father who all live in the house. At meal times Mani will hand you a plate and you will serve yourself - as if it was your own home. I felt very comfortable and welcomed at Mani 's.

The food that Mani cooks is the best local meals I had in Costa Rica. The staples of rice, plantains, fish and beans are fresh and seasoned to perfection. If you happen to be waiting for the ferry or in the local area I would strongly recommend visiting La Casa de Manito for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Oh. My. Goodness! Probably the best dining experience, I've had ever. In Spanish, he said, "This is very important this is your house. Serve yourself." So, we did. Quintessentially Pura Vida! Whatever they had fresh, cooked with love, Home-cooked meal. my belly and spirit is so happy.

Es un lugar rústico precioso lleno de naturaleza viviente. La familia Herra Linares, dueños del lugar, lo hacen sentir a uno como en su propia casa. La comida es deliciosa. La playa queda a 50 metros del Hostal, es como una laguna. Recomiendo mucho este lugar para pasar vacaciones y cargar pilas.
