Amazing place to stay in punta uva. I have no words to describe this hotel. Its simply extraordiary. The hotel is in the jungle, you can heard and see monkeys, sloths, tucans, spiders and the best is the service and atention given by the owners. The breakfast its really good, full of delicious fruit. The bungalows are very clean and well maintained. I totally recommend this hotel if you are looking to spend some days in punta uva.

With all honesty this place deserves MORE than 5 stars.
You feel you're in the jungle! Beautifully and elegantly done for a comfortable stay. Patrick and Ireena are not your common hosts; they will make sure you have a lovely stay. Breakfast and most mornings surprising you with something to try; it could be a local exotic fruit, a piece of their premium imported bread pastry or the wonderful coffee they make every day.
They will recommend only the tried and proven best restaurants in the area along with activities you most definitely will enjoy. Honest, good hearted people you would want to be around and come back to. It was just PERFECT. Thank you! Patrick and Ireena!response / report this review -

Absolutely amazing. The owners are incredibly friendly and did everything we could have expected and more. The bungalow was clean and comfortable, with delightful decor and a fantastic porch. The grounds are filled with wildlife which is just a treat. A hearty breakfast was provided everyday with fresh fruit, pastries, eggs made to order and more. Overall I can't think of anything to complain about. AC would have been nice during the day but wasn't an issue at night (end of May/beginning of June)

I am so happy we decided to stay at the Korrigan Lodge! Nestled within a wildlife refuge, you will find yourself surrounded by howler monkeys, sloths, and birds of all different varieties, especially Tucans! The bungalows are adorable and you will feel right at home! The owners cook a hearty breakfast everyday (included in price) and are super helpful at setting up activities for you! One recommendation for the owners, some AC in the bungalows would be the icing on the cake!

Having already read great reviews on TripAdvisor, our expectations were high and Korrigan Lodge not only lived up to those expectations, but exceeded them! The jungle setting is idyllic, the accommodations comfortable and aesthetically pleasing and well integrated to the surroundings. Our hosts, Laure and Sebastiaan, were personable, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the area. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was extra ordinary . This location is perfect -- directly across from the beautiful Punta Uva Beach and a manageable distance from both Puerto Viejo and Manzanilla National Park -- especially with the free use of their bikes!!! You can choose to avoid the crowds & noise, but still be close enough to take advantage of the conveniences in Puerto Viejo. Our only regret was not staying longer.

A little slice of heaven.
The reason I have taken so long to write a review of the Korrigan Lodge is that when I think of our stay, it makes me sad, because we were so happy there! This was our most favorite vacation and it's all because of the Korrigan Lodge. Sebastiaan and Laure are the coolest most welcoming people you will ever meet and I can't even get started talking about Bassam. We fell so in love with the Korrigan Lodge. The couple managing the lodge are some of the friendliest people I have ever met! They were gracious hosts and went out of their way to be helpful during our stay. The breakfast they cooked up was D-E-lightful! Oh, and they had the coolest, sweetest pup named Bassam. 😊
