The tico burrito was excellent! Recommend to add guacamole with it. Very friendly service. Their homemade sauces are bomb!!!
Mixed emotions here. As others mentioned, the food tastes overly sweet to me. Beans and rice - sweet. I tried all 4 salsas.. nothing remotely hot and everything sugary.. not my preference, but I'm just a dumb guy on the internet that cruises around and eats stuff. The vibe was weird and I'm just gonna leave it there. No one did anything wrong, but it was just awkward.. and maybe I'm awkward..
Great family run cafe with a Baja feel. Espresso, wraps, smoothies. Great breakfast and lunch items. Healthy but still some more traditional offerings.
Many times over many years i have enjoyed . if you are fussy about what you eat and how serious the owner is as to the details this is it. Casual super clean and the food is killer everything on the menu.
Very nice new ambiance, very good smoothies, fresh food, not too pricey. Clean new local. Oh air conditioned space.
Visited twice during our stay in Playa Negra, once for breakfast and once for lunch. Cannot go wrong with anything on the menuthen it only gets better with their hot sauce!!!!
The tico burrito was excellent! Recommend to add guacamole with it. Very friendly service.
Came here our first morning in Playa Negra. My boyfriend and I shared he Gringo burrito and a fruit plate. The coffee was amazing. The fruit plate had papaya, banana, pineapple, blue berries, and mango along with yogurt and granola. They have the prices in American so you know what you're paying. The owner is super friendly.. we asked him tons of questions about where to rent boards and fishing spots and had answers for everything! I definitely recommend this place!
I LOVE eating at Mike's place! The food is fresh, organic and amazing. You can really taste the love he puts into every dish. Even with allergy limitations, there are several items on his menu I can eat. I go there every time I visit CR, and I want to try ALL the smoothie flavors!
When we visit, we make sure to drive out to Playa Negra and stop here for a burrito or a salad. Mike takes care and pride in his work and I always enjoyed seeing and tying what is new and different on their menu and in their shop. We will definitely be back on our next trip.
Really good breakfast burritos and smoothies. The refried beans in the lunch burritos are too sweet for me..It's just my personal preference. Tortilla's are homemade and so good!
The ladies that work there are as sweet as can be. The gringo owner is not personable at all & kinda rude..so I go when he's not there.
