Used Iguana Tours to book horse riding, absolutely loved it, the tour guide picked us up from our villa and took us to the ranch which was a short 20 minute drive, the trek lasted for a few hours and we visited a beautiful waterfall in the rain forest, unfortunately as it was rainy season the water was very muddy so we couldn’t go swimming but our tour guide showed us lots of nature. When we got back to the ranch we were fed a lovely Casado and were given fresh fruit. The prices were very reasonable and we had such a lovely day!

This white water rafting adventure was the hilight of our trip! Our guide Josue was amwesome! He gave great direction and pointed out things unique to the area along the ride. Bonus points for keeping us from falling out of the boat. My husband and I had our own raft and the whole system was very organized. I would do this again in a heartbeat.

We booked a whale watching tour recommended by a couple we met at a waterfall. The crew on the boat were very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful especially Thomas. They cooked us an amazing dinner. We saw whales, dolphins that swam along with us and sea turtles. We stopped at a cove to snorkel while dinner was cooking. I was traveling with a friend and her 3 teenage kids. It was the highlight of our vacation. I would highly recommend this company and this excursion.

We took this tour from Jaco and we really enjoyed it. We were picked up from hotel right on time. Our tour guide Andres was very knowledge and helpful. The lunch that was provided was excellent. Would recommend this tour.

Did the mangrove tour on kayaks and the tour on the water was great, the food was lacking though. We did the morning tour which got us out on the water at around 6am. It was a good time for the tide as it was starting to go out but we were able to go through the shallow, narrorw pathways before they turned to mud. The guide was nice and fairly knowledgable, although he started talking to the other helper at the end and ignored the tour for a bit, also potentially scaring away the animals. We were able to see a variety of birds up close, fish bats, and lots of crabs.
For the food, we were told we would have coffee, fruit, and cookies before the tour, and then a typical costa Rican breakfast after. We only got coffee and crackers in the morning, and the breakfast was missing the plantain, cheese, and fruit! They also asked us for either coffee OR juice, but I know quite a few people would have wanted both for 8:30 in the morning! Not happy that they didn't give us what they advertised.

We had the same experience but perhaps a little worse than Roxanne’s review below on horseback riding. I wish we had read the reviews first. Our female guide had a very aggressive personality. It seemed as though she was just doing her job and didn’t really enjoy it.
The ride was mostly on the ride and not in the forest. My husband rode 10 years ago with the original owners on the beach and had a great time. This was very disappointing.

Took the catamaran tour,(Costa Rica) Excellent service, the staff is well coordinated, very punctual, thomas is the life of the boat, these guys are amazing, great cooking skills, very patient to clients, very tending and professionals. I highly recommend this tour.

I went on a sunset and dinner tour today. It was the highlight of my trip. We saw dolphins. I played in the water with my daughters. We used the slide and we jumped off the boat while it was moored by playa Biesanz. The staff was very nice and helpful. It was not the flashiest and biggest boat but it was intimate and family friendly.

These guys are amazing. We went on a Catamaran tour, a mangrove tour and a white water rafting tour. The white water rafting was the best, but we love the water. All the guides we're amazing. The twins on white water actually competed at the international white water competition, Warren had an amazing eye for spotting tons of wild life in the mangrove and Thomas was extremely entertaining on the Catamaran. Highly recommend this company!

Incredibly nice and helpful staff. They picked us up from our hotel, we had a great breakfast and our guide was wonderful on our mangrove kayak trip. On our return in the bus, we saw red macaws, porcupine, and sloths!!!! We saw more wildlife on the bus ride back! Staff was awesome. They spotted all of this and pulled the bus over every time so we could take pics. Definitely recommend this tour group for anyone.

“Great Mangrove tour!”

Great boat ride through the Mangroves! Learned a lot, and saw lots of cool wildlife (tons of white-face monkeys, birds, crabs, etc) in a beautiful setting. We did a tour with George 8 years ago. We came back this trip and did a tour with George and Michael. Both were great!

My wife and I enjoyed a white water rafting tour with Iguana Tours. Josue, Juan Jose, and his twin brother made our entire day enjoyable. They were very knowledgeable about the landscape and culture of the surrounding towns. They made up for our groups lack of experience on the water and made our trip a memorable experience. We highly recommend a tour with these true professionals. Lunch was also provided with breath taking views and great local foods.
