5-Stars all around, Wilson at the front desk was incredibly helpful and friendly providing us with invaluable advice, board rentals and arranging our transport for us when it was time to leave. Rest of staff was great to us and maintaining general good atmosphere. Close to beach and Main Street and clean decent rooms! Great stay!

I have stayed at this hotel twice now, and each time has been absolutely wonderful. Located less than a minute from the beach, Hotel de Haan has the entire package for a mere $10-$12 a night. The rooms, pool, and common areas are always clean, and Wilson is wonderful to work with. There is an outdoor shower to hose off the sand from the beach, and plenty of hammocks, tables, and beach chairs to relax in. I have stayed in both the dorms and a private room, and I would 100% recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a cheap getaway to Jaco.

This was by far the best hostel I stayed at in Costa Rica. It was clean, fun, friendly, safe and the staff was overly accommodating. There is a larger than average party scene at this hostel (usually on the weekends), so do expect some noise at night. Everything is well kept; they do a great job!

Cheap hostel with friendly staff and a laid back atmosphere. The doors are pretty basic, no frills, type of lodging. The beds are comfortable enough and though there are only fans in the cheapest rooms it isn't too hot to sleep at night. The giant lockers in the rooms are fantastic and they even have outlets inside of them which is genius! The common areas around the pool are a great place to relax and escape the heat in the middle of the day.

I stayed here one night during the surf contest. They were extremely packed because of the big event but the owner was very accommodating and helpful. This place is really modern, with clean beds, bathrooms, and nice lockers with charging outlets inside. Great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

This hostel from the front doesn't look like much but it is probably the best bang for your buck in Jaco. The owner is there everyday and makes sure you have a good time and are happy with your stay. I was there for two weeks and had a great time. There are several options for rooms depending on your budget and how many people your traveling with. This is also one of the cleanest hostels I have ever stayed in, there are two full time staff always cleaning at all times! Pool is nice, big kitchen, lots of hammocks, bathrooms, and showers!
