Beautiful hostel tucked away from the Tamarindo craziness (trust me, this is a plus) it is at the perfect distance from everything, including the beach :) Very clean, affordable, well kept hostel. Amazing staff and great experiences. They are so helpful so anything you want to do and treat you like family.

This is the first place we stayed when coming to Tamarindo. We absolutely fell in love with this hostel! It was so warm and welcoming, it was clean and everyone was great to be around. I would definitely recommend this place

+ lovely staff
+ spacious dorm room (just dorm 2)
+ tiny pool with its jacuzzi corner
+ hammocks and the little jungle next to it
- bathroom gets quickly extremely dirty due to roommates but also the lack of rugs/carpets
- kitchen is not very tasty and welcoming (outdated on top unfortunately, didn't dare to cook in there)
- fridge has more bacterias than the toilets
- outdated furniture etc

They had the best English spoken community. People would plan dinner and everybody hangout together.

Great vibes happening at this Hostel. Anne and her crew will make sure your stay is memorable. Ask for ELIAS with S.A.L.T for surf instruction and coaching!

We stayed for a couple of nights shortly before high season started. The hostel is 5min walk from Tamarindo downtown, so that it is located in a really quiet area (I guess particularly during high season it may be difficult to sleep in downtown hostels, so quietness is definitely a plus). Generally, the hostel is nice especially the outdoor area with a small, clean Pool, hammocks Really chill. However, a minus for the cleanliness and the equipment in the kitchen: they have a lot of plastic dishes which look ugly really quick, there were no towels to dry your dishes or to go over surfaces, the sponges didn't look nice, so that the kitchen always looked slightly dirty. And the fridge was actually dirt, with a lot of bad food that was in there for at least a while. We have stayed at several hotels and this was on of the dirtiest hostel fridges we have seen. With a nicer kitchen, we would definitely give the hostel 4-5 stars. And another smaller minus was the lack of big lockers for the dorm rooms, the lockers were very small and only fitted a purse and a mobile phone.

I first wandered into this lovely hostel in December 2016. My plans were to stay for a few days then carry on I ended up spending 2 weeks here. Now I'm back for more! Such an amazing little spot, tucked in a quiet corner. Cozy rooms, chill vibes. The staff were always very helpful & friendly, they really made the stay special. Definitely my favourite place to visit!

I came to Costa Rica with no plans and ended up here. I had so much fun hanging with the workers and they gave me great advice on what to do and where to go next. The rooms were clean, pool was AMAZING, it was pretty inexpensive, and people were very very friendly. I didn't want to leave. I would love to come and stay again, in fact I for sure will. Santi was very helpful and awesome along with the rest of the crew. I couldn't have been any happier to have found this little place!

Nice place, open area, with a pool, away from Center of town but only a short walk, from town and the beach. Great vibe, spacious but not too big. Just the right amount of hostel variables.

Best place to stay in Tamarindo if you looking for friendly staff and helpful.This place is peaceful and relax..there is a fantastic pool to hangout:) not party atmosphere which is good when you want to surf early in the morning( the instructors for surf lesson are VERY Good)The place is always clean and there is AC in the dorm during the night!!! I totally recommended it.

Cleanliness = 5/5 - Really nice and Clean environment. The bathrooms, bed were all very clean.
Hospitality = 5/5 - Shay was very welcoming, kind and friendly. She also provided us with great tips on where to eat, go shopping and the safest places on the beach. She also took us to a resort with a great view. The vibe here is also really fun.
LOCATION = 4/5 - A bit far from the beach, but in a safe area. very walk able distance.
Wifi = 5/5 - no problems here
