A bit pricey but the staff were absolutely wonderful, the chef was super kind and helpful as was the management, was sad to leave

Great rooms, temperature was perfect, all amenities were high quality and useful for travelers. Staff was helpful, kind and knowledgeable. A great location for late night arrivals into San Jose- 2 minutes from car rental spot. We also saw that they have an airport shuttle. Much nicer than any USA Holiday Inn I've ever been to.

Everything was great, mostly. The transfer, very short distance from the airport. The rooms were huge and clean, very nice indeed. Wake up call - useless. One, 3 hours early, and one, ten minutes late. We even had a welcome drink cocktail. Just couldn't believe they were served in plastic cups. The states seem to have a massive plastic dining culture. Just horrible, and not a good example for a country that should know better.

Typical holiday inn express. Breakfast provided was good the first day there. Staff very helpful and attentive in all areas. Clean. Unfortunately airplanes flying directly overhead. Obviously very close to airport. Shuttle runs 24 hours per day every fifteen minutes. We had a very early flight. We had talked with staff the night before. They had a bag breakfast packed for us to go. Greatly appreciated! I saw service awards on the wall from the organization and can see why!

Room: 2 double bed, clean, and plenty spacious. Slightly malodorous in and around the room. Breakfast: limited vegan /vegetarian options. Otherwise standard continental fare. Location: EXCELLENT. Right across from the airport with a shuttle, and nearby 24 hour Dennys and a casino. Very close to Shandon Alajuela and San Jose. Services: shuttle to airport and other major tourist points, computers with printer, and concierge with tour booking.

This is a great place to stay when you are just coming or about to leave Costa Rica. Everyone is helpful and friendly. Breakfast is good. The shuttle to the airport is frequent. If you arrive at night, stay here for the night and pick up your rental car the next day.

I've stayed at HI Express hotels for over 30 years, mostly in the US but also in Europe. If you want a great way to start or end your visit to Costa Rica, stay here! The staff is terrific, the rooms are comfortable and clean and the breakfast as good as any you will find in much higher priced hotels and it's included

Close to the airport, rooms are very clean, a wide variety of TV channels in both Spanish and English, nice pool, walking distance to restaurants, internet tour agent on site, gift shop on site and buffet style breakfast. Staff was extremely helpful. Highly recommended.

Travelled with family, another good place near the airport, prices are similar to other hotels near by. What I really like about this hotel is that they have a check in centre to make arrangements for airline checkin, flight schedules etc. I also enjoyed the breakfast they provided, various selection of food, buffet style, eggs, bacon, fruit, pancakes, muffins, yogurt, juice, tea and coffee! They don’t have bell service but there are a lot of free carts available. They do not have a restaurant but there are three different places to eat nearby, Denny is open 24 hours, however no vegetarian & gluten free food. All in all a great experience.

Fine place to crash overnight near the San Jose Costa Rica Airport. Pretty typical Holiday Inn Express. Offers shuttle service to and from the airport as they cater mostly to tourists, and travelers.

Clean and safe. Rental car company will deliver you to the hotel. Hotel shuttle to airport is convenient. Dennys restaurant in the parking lot. Two thumbs up.

Very clean and reminiscent of what you get in the US. Or room was a little damp, but, that's probably more if a function of being in Central America than anything else. I would definitely stay here again. The front desk staff were GREAT!
