I had a great time with Hermosa riders! Ariel is a great instructor, speaks good English, can very well explain what you need to improve to catch better waves. They adjust to your individual level so that you have a great time and can catch waves even as a beginner. I strongly recommend!

My family had a reunion @ Jaco/ Playa Hermosa Costa Rica. No-one in our group had surfed before, and not only did we have a blast but everyone caught various waves. Our group included surfers from 7 to 45 years of age. Ariel, Gabriela, Gaspar and rest of his school are quality people with great energy that translate to a fantastic 🏄 experience. To be honest, I was scared of both the ocean and surfing before booking this lesson, but Ariel created a safe and friendly learning environment! Ariel arranged all the transportation and did a great job of teaching me the basics on the beach and then helping me transfer them to the water. I had such a great time that I came back for a second lesson! The first lesson he did all the hard work, making it easy for me to focus on learning how to stand up. The second time he helped me try bigger and stronger waves. Ariel was very professional and is talented at what he does! I have a new love of surfing and a new respect for surfers.

I took a lesson with them and it was great! Ariel was a great instructor, very patient and spoke good English (my boyfriend doesn't speak Spanish). They provided sunscreen and water during the class. Besides all of these, all the trainers are local, so you get to support the community.
