The zipline tour was a lot of fun but the biggest surprise was the restaurant. Not fancy but excellent food. Highly recommend the grilled pineapple dessert.
Great place - we didn't stay in the lodge but did visit the wildlife reserve. Much more peaceful than Manuel Antonio, no touts, tourist tat etc. Just the reserve, the lodges and the restaurant. And the Capucin Monkeys of course. The beach is nearby and free to enter and has miles of flat sand. Near to the facilities of Dominical.
Lovely setting. Lodge with fridge. Nice pool. Great well marked trails. Friendly helpful staff
Went there only for walking by myself on the 3km loop-trail in their own park. Saw many animals, beautiful place.
Explored the reserve and the Flight of the Toucan canopy ziplines - the guides were fantastic and shared lots of amazing information about the forest and animals.
Awesome staff. Owner Jack has been there since the 1970's. Interesting story how he came to be
Wow! What a day! A friend and I decided to do the self-guided tours. We walked the longer of the two trails. During our hike, we saw agoutis, toucans, a bunch of different bird species, sloths, and raccoons. At one point during the hike, we heard a very loud commotion. We looked up and a troop of capuchin monkeys were traveling overhead. It was amazing. The troop settled down near us to feed and rest and the monkeys ignored us. After we spent a good time with the capuchins, we continued on the trail. Towards the end of the hike, we were discussing how we wished we saw some peccaries and all of a sudden we heard another commotion and a small herd of collared peccaries were feeding. So cool! After the hike we settled down for some great food and natural fruit drinks. Tomorrow we are scheduled to Zipline with Hacienda Baru and I can't wait.
This is a great place to stay in the San Isidro area, especially if you enjoy bird watching. The food in the restaurant is delicious and the service is excellent. The rooms are good, but could use some updating.
We did the trail and had a great time, we saw many animals by ourselves, especially a group of white face capuchin that played and ate next to us for 15 minutes.
If you like fauna and flora, you will love this place. We highly recommend early Pacific ocean bath.
A wonderful place with a several kilometres long beach nearly for your own. Nice houses, free WiFi and friendly staff provided.
A perfect place if you want to feel and watch wild life. No many people in the trials so it make it easier to spot the animals.
Absolutely amazing experience. Every single person who helped us was warm, welcoming, and friendly. We did the zip lining with a group of four and we had two wonderful guides (Carlos and Cristian) who were patient, funny, and made the experience unforgettable. After, we had a problem with our transportation and the clerk at the office went above and beyond to help us out. If you are anywhere near this place, go! You will not regret it!
Had a great experience of zip-lining!
They convinced me to let my 3.5 years old son to ride by himself, and it was a right choice. It was safe for him, and he liked it a lot. Adults liked it too.
Guides were very friendly and helpful.
Went for two weeks during May and it was beautiful, the days were nice, at night it would rain but you can't beat the sounds and the animals. The natural habitat there is very visible, sloths, monkeys, toucans all were seen from the cabin area. Loved it here! Definitely gonna go back!
The best park near Quepos. Fewer tourists, more animals, more fauna. Just wonderful!
Magical! I chaperoned a Spanish class trip here last spring and our group loved it. Staff was very kind and helpful, breakfast was delicious, stunning natural areas, rooms were basic, clean and comfortable. Only a five minute walk from the beach (current is very strong but they also have a swimming pool). Lots of beautiful nature trails and close to other hiking destinations such as Santa Lucia Falls. If you want an authentic place to stay, this is it. I can't wait to go back.
