It's a good place to know a little bit of indigenous culture in Costa Rica. I was there for a night tour and it was magic, I think they make it once a year. It's an archeological place sorruonded by nature.

not a lot of archeological sites of this age and nature in Costa Rica. It is nicely laid out for walking and exploring. All their signs are in Spanish and English. If you are lucky to be there when it is not cloudy, you have a magnificent view of Volcán Turrialba.

the drive out there is a little "rustic" if you take the northern route. Mostly paved if you take the southern route, but a great way to see the country side. there is actually a camp ground across the road from it too.

When we were there, there was a nice woman selling souvenirs on the street.

It should be mandatory for all Costa Rican high school students to visit this site. Our Pre-Columbian heritage, the Engineering expertise of our native ancestors all come to life. It takes a while to get here, but it is well worth it. Just make sure you pay for the guided tour, you'll enjoy you visit even more.

Here you can learn a little about Costa Rica's pre-Columbian history. Is better pay a guide to enjoy the program because there are more things to listen than to see. Due to low financial resources the park lacks in better visitor assistance. There are buses leaving Transtusa Bus Station in Turrialba every day.

Fantastic day out together and really enjoyed to see remain of indigenous Costa Rican life up close. Excellent information boards are all along the track explaining all the different sights and constructions at the monument.
