Wonderful place, specially before they close the Park. No people around, so that gives the whole place for yourself. You might not see a lot of animals, but there are beautiful views. The bridges are simply outstanding. Nice place to go by yourself if you want silence and a day for yourself, although it's a nice walk for you and your family as well. The complete trail takes two hours more or less. Bring your jacket cause rain may catch you by surprise.

Nous avons fait une sortie de nuit avec Dulce Wilson. Elle est un guide vraiment géniale. Ses connaissances sont très étendues et elle sait rester accessible et passionnante. Nous étions une famille de 4 avec deux enfants qui ont adoré ! Plantes, champignons, oiseaux, insectes, mammifères. Un vrai bonheur.

Incredible experience with our tour guide, Dulce. She was knowledgeable, experienced, talkative, and energetic, and knew the area very well. She helped us find quetzals, many other birds, beetles, tarantulas, amazing insects, sloths, interesting mammals, and a snake! I would recommend this tour to anyone who loves culture and wildlife!

We went on a day and night hike in the cloud forest with Monte Verde Wild Hikes, and the experience was incredible! Our tour guide, Dulce Wilson, was knowledgeable, experienced, enthusiastic, friendly, polite, funny, charismatic, and talkative. She spoke English and Spanish fluently, and lead us on a wonderful 13-hour tour of the forest, and pointed out lots of animals and plants we would never have noticed on our own. We had the opportunity of seeing 3 resplendent quetzals (2 males, and 1 female), emerald toucanets, Orange Bellied Trojans, Black Vultures, Black Guans, 2 toed sloths, white nosed coatis, agoutis, orange-kneed tarantulas, click beetles, a side striped palm viper, horned katydids, capuchin monkeys, highland tinamous, and much more! Dulce has extensive knowledge about each species, as well as the local area and the environment. She showed us local wildlife features and unique landmarks that most tourists don’t know or hear about. This tour was one of our best experiences in Costa Rica, and I would definitely go again if I had the chance! This is an experience that I would recommend to everyone, whether you’re traveling alone, with friends, with small children, or with family!

Very knowledgeable people, devoted to providing a special experience in a unique place. I was also impressed at how well they interact with children, and their command of English and even, if called on, biology and science. True expertise and depth. I look forward to returning. I feel privileged to have been with 4 of the guides in this group, due to unforeseen circumstances.

I had an incredible stay here. There are beautiful trails all around the home that are filled with different species of wildlife and vegetation. The home is very reasonably priced and spacious. It has two bedrooms, full kitchen and two bathrooms! The home is also wheelchair accessible which was a huge plus for my travel partner who needed these features. The need to see sights are all within short driving distance and the views around Monte Verde are incredible. Dulce is also very accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable. She is an expert guide and will share her knowledge with you!
