  I had an amazing time at funky monkey. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Always on top of everything I asked for. They never forgot anything and always arranged anything I asked, like rentals, taxis, they even called and double checked for my returnetc. I highly recommend to buy the package with dinner, it was so delicious and every night something new. I had the suite which was very big and beautiful with a fridge and closet and huge balcony. I felt very safe there, highly recommend the place. :)

  Beautiful. Great food. Rooms are really nice and spacious and private. Close to the beach. Staff really helpful for arranging activities. Beautiful space for yoga. Get the surf and yoga package, it's totally worth it. I really love this place!

  We were a group of four girls that went to learn how to surf and do yoga for a week. The Funky Monkey Lodge was beautiful. The first day of yoga we saw monkeys playing in the trees next to us! Every morning we enjoyed a fresh and tasty breakfast. The ocean view from our room was absolutely stunning. Pura Vida ❤🙏🏄🌊🌈

  Make sure to go to the "Sushi Night after Sunset" on Wednesday the vegan options are awesome and the veganised Banana Split Desert is super!!! Live Music and lovely flair: Highly recommended! Don't go vegan: run vegan!

  We had a fantastic time in Funcky Monkey! We wanna thank the great staff! They are super nice, helpful, professional and cool people ;) Funcky Monkey is known for their great food. I confirm the chefs are great! I know what I am talking about I am French myself :)
  
  Gabi, the owner of the place welcomed us and helped us to plan our full trip in Costa Rica
  Nacho was our surf instructor. He took us from beginner level to intermediate in one week. He is passionate about surfing and will teach you everything from safety, technic and how to challenge yourself to move on to the next level. We felt very safe and grow our awareness with the ocean and the surfer community. We had profesional photos including in the price for every lessons. The level of English of instructors is very good.
  We rented a bungalow for 2. The one we had was quiet and I loved it. The outdooe bathroom is so great. We did not have AC but in November the temperature is fine at night. Bring air plugs because the nature is very noisy at night! Bedding is fine and it cool be a bit better.
  The spot for yoga is really nice. I practice myself aerial silks and there were 4 silks that I could use. In my opinion I did not fully feel safe with the ringing so I did not do drops. But I had fun and I even did a photo shoot with AGOSTINA. A great photographer there.
  
  Overall we highly recommend this resort everything was great! We would love to do it again :)

  Spent a week in a cozy bungalow (february 2015) with friends, the food was incredible you have to try their sushi night, it's awesome. And there is a SecretSpot down the road for a perfect Ceviche. The staff at the FML (lol) is friendly, fun and caring! There's monkeys at night growling, which might disturb your sleep. The only downside was the electric shower head that electrocuted myself (not fun, not sure how dangerous it was). Either way, I recommend, you'll love it!
