Large, well run ferry across the gulf. Get your voucher from one of employees working the line. Then pay at the ticket office. Cash only. Roughly a 2hr journey

Best service. The barge is clean, new, has A/C, music and it’s very large which mean plenty room for everyone. Would totally recommend this provider as well as the entire Nicoya Peninsula it’s amazing.

$1.5 USD or 810 colones per person. The journey takes about an hour and a half. There is an AC'd indoor area on the second floor with concession, and an outdoor sitting area on the third. You give them the pink ticket for entry, and keep the white one.

$24 for two people and an automobile. Pull up to the line to get your voucher first then bring it to the window to pay for it.

They don't accept cards, and the local and only atm wouldn't accept our debit or credit cards (visa or Amex) they wouldn't let us on the ferry without cash and the alternative is a 4.5 hour drive around dangerous roads in the middle of the night. No one told us we needed cash before, during or after our way over from puntarenas.

Caught the last ferry of the evening with only minutes to spare and knowing little Spanish but had no problems.
