Family run hostel with very good atmosphere and many tour options. Little further from the beach but quiet. There's a kitchen you can use but they can also prepare a meal for you. All at good price. You can get here by boat, colectivo bus or plane.

It's the greatest place to stay at, the business is managed by the Sosa family, i've stayed there at least 7 times and its never boring, Virian has some great customer service, but of course it can always be better. For anybody wondering, yes its a super chill place and u always have the chance the blaze.

I had a really nice time staying at this Hostel. It takes a little bit to get there, but it is definitely a good hostel to spend a few nights.

Marvin is a great host and loves to make everyones stay as good as possible. He gives very honest tips for the area. The food offered is very tasty.

The dorm doesn't feel too big, because between every bunk bed there is a thin wall so it almost feels like a two persin room. everything was clean and there is a warm shower.

As a plus: with your stay you support some good projects to protect the Corcovado Environment.

The people who attend are extremely friendly and helpful! The place is very nice and comfy, does not have a view, but the ambient is great! They have great environmental projects that are supported with your stay!

Wow! Beautiful location, very helpful and friendly staff. We spent 3 days here at this hostel. They won me over when Irene was waiting for us with transport at the ferry terminal (the beach).
    Waterfalls, tours and clean accommodations

Drake Bay Backpackers is an ideal hostel for travellers looking to experience Costa Rica's natural beauty, culture and wildlife. The hostel is also the camp of the Corcovado Foundation's sea turtle program offering you the best opportunities in witnessing nesting sea turtles in the area. During my stay the hostel organised all activities on request such as Snorkelling Isle De Cano, Horse back riding tours, fishing trips, sea turtle patrols and transportation to near by towns, making my time there hassle free. The hostel offers meals from fresh local ingredients that are flexible to your preferences, or you can use the kitchen to prepare your own food. Traveling in a group or by yourself you wont feel isolated because the hostel has a very social atmosphere. I felt welcome as a friend and not just a guest, enjoying the hammock area to socialise and going out for drinks and dancing at the local bar with volunteers, locals and other guests. Drake Bay Backpackers is secluded in its location but definitely worth the trip.
