This is by far one of the best places we have stayed in 6 years of visiting Costa Rica. On arrival the staff and friendly and helpful.

The rooms and clean and well kept, there is an office/work area which was invaluable for catching up with emails and the like!

The gardens are well kept and beautiful which attract all sorts of interesting wildlife including monkeys on some days.

The pool is amazing and feels as if it was designed with children in mind with higher and lower levels and even a sit in waterfall!

The restaurant is great, great food, good service and a handy TV seating area for children (if your that way inclined!).

There was even a Yoga studio there but I didn't have time, will have to be next year as we will definitely be returning here!!

Amazing gem just off the beaten path in Jaco. An easy walk to town or very cheap taxi ride. The group we were with reserved the entire place for a week. The staff and Owners are extremely attentive and will help with special requests. My Wife and I purchased inflatable crocodiles at the store in town and spent a lot of time enjoying the large well maintained saltwater pool with waterfall that you can sit in. The rooms are large, well maintained and serviced every day by the friendly staff. The open air dining area with walk up bar is beautiful and very comfortable. Every meal was top notch with fresh local meat, seafood and produce. The property is spread out so it is easy to get alone time if desired. We plan on returning as often as possible. We went in early December.

This place has beautiful scenery: tropical birds, plants, and flowers. Breakfast and lunch are included and the food is great. The beds are a little stiff but are pretty comfortable. There is always hot water and free WiFi. The pricing is not cheap but not expensive either. The staff are friendly and helpful as well.

Dolcelunas is an amazing resort, the luxury rooms were beautiful with original art, spacious and immaculate. I have been in the travel business for 40+ years and would recommend the Docelunas anytime. The staff is attentive and accommodating. We traveled in October and it was wonderful. I must comment the hotel staff was increditble, made to order dinner, one night we had dinner delivered to our room. The chef will cook anything you want, 5 stars all the way! Thank you Brian Sam, you are a blessing, love your stories, love your hotel and I will be back!

*****TROPICAL PARADISE HOTEL***** EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS
I went to Costa-Rica last year and spent almost two month there traveling. I kept coming back to Jaco and there was no doubt where I will stay. The hotel service was beyond my expectations. Nice spacious room with a big bathroom, fast Internet connection, great restaurant and friendly, helpful stuff
Since my flight was in January I arrived from the cold winter into the summer season in tropical country and I worried about the heat a bit. The Hotel area was actually much cooler than in the city center thanks to the mountain breeze that stands behind the hotel.
I travel a lot in general and mostly as a solo traveler, so safety is very important to me. I was a bit concerned at first as a single woman, but the hotel property is all fenced with guards on duty all night (btw. my Spanish was really poor so they often helped me catching the cab late hours, when the reception was closed.)
There are tons of restaurants, bars and shops on the main street right by the beach. It is located about 20 minutes walk from the hotel. At first I thought to rent a car, but the cabs are cheap.
What I enjoyed the most beside the regular things like the room, services, nice stuff etc. was the unique romantic and very relaxing atmosphere similar to my imagination of a lagre Eden garden full of fruit-trees, flowers and sweet little stone paths ending in the restaurant, not to mention the Spa center with Bikram Yoga Studio with an ocean-view! OMG! I can´t wait go to back :)
One of the great features was also a note I found in the room saying that the tap water is filtrated and drinkable! How cool is that!
The food in the hotel restaurant was great - all organic and the Canadian manager gave me a lot of interesting tips where to go and what to see. I met the owner too and seemed as a really nice guy.
Costa-Rica was a great relaxing and soul-filling experience to me and I recommend it to everybody. This is the perfect vacation place that meets entertainment, sports, nightlife and relaxing, spiritual aspect in one. You can surf, go fishing, make trips to the rain-forests, dance salsa, scuba-diving or just relax by the pool with a drink in you hand  Plus you can pick an orange or banana from a tree when you´re hungry and eat it!

Great hotel with scenic grounds and an excellent restaurant. Not right on the beach with the other tourists, but not such a long walk that it mattered much, and often we just caught a cab for a few dollars. The staff was quite helpful in arranging trips to Tortuga Island and a rainforest trail.

All around, I had a great experience, but as I said, if you want to wake up right down on Pastor Diaz Avenue, then Doce Lunas isn't for you. But if you want a kind of more tranquil place to chill out some nights in the outdoors restaurant or by the pool with a nice landscape to look at during the day, if you're not going to be on the go too much, then it probably is.
