This accommodation is just pure paradise. Joe was super friendly and supportive. The place was modern, WiFi was good, there was a great pool outside and an outdoor kitchen. Everything was very clean the whole time and we felt very secure in a private place. would absolutely recommend it to everyone!!

just got home from 8 days at casa bambora awesome place to stay peaceful oasis on hiltop 5 minutes from center of town would recommend to all my friends and family clean with great vibe and awesome sunsets thanks to joey jarrod and jen for making a great week for us

First time staying with Joey after many places in Tamarindo. This is off the beaten path enough for some peace and quiet yet an easy 5 minute walk into the heart of town for food and the beach. Joe, Gendry, Jarred and Jen make you feel like family and give you 25 years of Tamarindo experience for all the best secluded beaches, restaurants and nightlife. The rooms are great, good size with all you need including stove and fridge for your stay. Incredible view from the rooftop deck where all the guests gather most nights to catch the sunset and amazing ocean views. Couldn't have been happier!

Great value and awesome location. Tamarindo Main Street is way too busy and loud at night. 10 minute walk down the hill to town. Has pool air conditioning and great sunset views.

PLUSES: fairly comfortable, it was clean and friendly, and he DID have wine and cheese waiting for us

MINUSES: extremely hard to find

The shower had nearly zero pressure, and didn't have enough pressure to even rinse the soap off

animals seen from the house: 1 cat, 1 scorpion in the shower, 3 birds

do NOT stay on the third floor heat rises, and the AC barely works. i sweated buckets on the mattress, and i can only assume other guests sweated the same on that same mattress

one of the neighbors has a VERY loud alarm system that went off at all hours of the night, 2, 3, 5 AM, every single night, very hard to get a good nights sleep with the siren blaring and the sweaty mess.

15 minute walk to town downhill
25 minute walk back with a severe incline the whole way not good after a busy day at the beach and/or town.

WAS ASKED TO NOT FLUSH TOILET PAPER, AND TO PUT IN IN A TRASH CAN INSTEAD. ewwwwww very unsanitary, and repulsive. we flushed anyhow

First date with my new gf and came back two years later proposed to her in the top floor room. Married with dogs now, and I'll never forget the place that sparked it all. We loved every minute we were there. I've been a lot of places in Central America but Joey's place takes the cake. Love Casa Bambora and I appreciate its place in our life! Plan to come back for a third trip!
