Fantastic spot, good value. Really nice people, lovely room. Would come back for sure.
Love this place. It's more like a home than a hostel/cabina. The place is beautifully maintained, rooms are clean and spacious, and most of all, you're free of all the noise from the downtown, but still very very close.
The owner, Nina (I think), was really sweet, and shared much of the history of punta Viejas, which made it even more special. Plus, they have two adorable dogs and a friendly kitty.
Lovely hotel for a very good price. Top quality rooms. 5 minutes on foot by the center. Quiet area.
Nothing to do there other than sleep.
Bar was not open in low season - everything shut from 6am.
Irritating pets continuously attempting to steal bed in room.
And by far the worst system for locking a room - manual pad bolt and padlock on outside. If someone wanted to - you could be locked in whilst you sleep.
I might as well briggs sleeping inside a shed.
Maybe for rainy days (just like hostels that charge 1/3 of the price) supply some board games or books to read.
Nice hostel very close to the beach. Each room also had hammocks for relaxing.
Just far enough away from the downtown party scene to be quiet. Well taken care of while we were heredidn't get anything we didn't ask for, got anything we did. Loved the room. We rented the queen room w/ private bathroom, had our own back porch area and hammock, and no bs AT ALL. Friendly staff, but would not approach you for coversation unless you started it first. Room was clean, bugs were a non-issue and I would highly recommend staying here. Would have given a five star, but the water pressure left a little to be desired and the the drain clogged in the shower frequently. Would still stay again though, GREAT PLACE.
This was probably the best value accommodation we had in Costa Rica. Perfect rooms, beautiful grounds, helpful staff, strong WiFi, excellent location and cleaning service. Well above average for the price range.
