This is an amazing place to relax. It's at the foot of the Arenal volcano and has several pools with different water temperatures. There are several swim up bars to choose from. There are lockers for your belongings and the staff is friendly and helpful. There's a restaurant at the top of the resort with a tremendous buffet. The place was incredible and I highly recommend it.

The pools were amazing and plenty warm for us to relax our worn muscles after a long day of hiking. The drink prices are steep roughly 10 dollars a pop which is to be expected at a resort so be ready for that. I also had a hard time finding a pool to cool down in so hit the showers from time to time to cool down. All in all a great place to rest after a day of adventure. The views and atmosphere is beautiful but be aware this isn't a natural hot spring if you are looking for the natural hot spring and resort atmosphere look to Tabacon.

Isn’t worth the money!

Customer service is the worst we experienced in Costa Rica. We had our stuff stolen and the guys at reception were just laughing at us and kept our $20 deposit because someone stole our towels. We had to beg to have a towel to dry ourselves and leave. Truly embarrassing!

We were served by Kevin Meijas at the reception, who couldn’t help to smile when we explain our situation.

The place is nothing more than a tourist trap with hot water pools.
The water slides were well dangerous, got my arms burned, and my boyfriends twisted his neck.

Will highly recommended to avoid the place.

Great place with a number of different pools with varying temperatures. And unlike some other places, they have real natural hot springs. Staying in the hotel is fully worth it as you can go to the pools whenever you like, and avoid the day - trippers. It was awesome to have the whole pool to ourselves in the mornings and evenings! Very nice staff, clean rooms, great breakfast.

Seems a bit of a tourist trap. I had been expecting something more natural when I first heard about it. What they do have is a lot of different resort style pools of various temperatures (assuming it must be hot spring fed or thermally heated for economic reasons). I have small kids so most of those weren't much use to us but they do have a nice kids pool and a pretty cool water slide for adventurous kids. Buffet restaurant included in our pass was reasonably good for a buffet. Really good fresh fruit available.

The hot springs were incredible! Really neat atmosphere! A variety of different temperature pools including a natural sauna. Food was okay nothing special. Water slides are really, really fast maybe not for everyone.

We came for the hot spring pools and were not disappointed. The water temperature goes up the further uphill you go. There's 68F/20C cool pools in the larger pools and several jacuzzis inside the larger hot ones. There's one insanely hot pool with a "natural steam bath" that is so hot you have to slowly descent into it like a sloth! An amazing rejuvenating experience well worth the price of the day pass!

One of the best places in Costa Rica for luxury. Unique hot springs, in beautiful stone worked pools. Place for kids apart from the adult pools. Great spa. A bit expensive but well worth the money. Beautiful by day and night. I have been there 3 times and I will be returning again

I went at night enjoyed the different temperature pools. There was an awesome slide very quick very fast so be careful when descending into the pool if there are people crowded around the bottom. Lots of trees and plants creating a very nice ambience at night very relaxing. The food for the buffet was OK not to my liking in particular

We went up on two separate day trips. The hot springs are nice and there are lots of different pools. You an pick the temperature by switching `pools.

There is a kids play water park and a hot spring with three adult water slides.

If you are wet, you can sit and eat at the bar near the front entrance, however, if you are dry, you can sit in the nice restaurant in the middle of the hot springs.

It is a nice afternoon diversion. Prices are decent for the food. I wish they had showers for when you changed to leave.

Amazing place to have hot springs at. The conserved nature and air was amazing. Lucious trees and great lights. And a great dinner package that comes with it as well. Though I'd prefer to be able to eat for longer than an hour. They limit the time to control traffic. The slides we're more on the intense side so it is all at your own risk. It is a huge area so the only improvements I'd suggest is a trolley to go between the sections. Will definitely go again.

I went in Dec 2017 for a couples vacation and came down the slides after 30 minutes at the springs and smashed both my knees on the pool bottom. I required an ambulance to the hospital where I required stitches and the rest of my vacation is effectively ruined. The staff paid for my medical bills, which was appreciated, and the grounds were beautiful.

However, in looking at other reviews, this is not an isolated incident, and people are quite often hurt on those slides, and others much more seriously than smashed knees. Support another, safer hot springs in the area, of which there are many. If you do go, keep away from the slides.

They have done a very clever job with these springs. As you go up the mountain you get to hotter and hotter Springs and very clever ways they architect each bath. I could have spent all day here. Many of the Springs included bar with bartender. And at the top most bath you have a kiddie bath and a wonderful View of the volcano.

We did not stay at the resort but as visitors to the springs we were treated very well. The springs were amazing with different temperature springs varying for everyone. The bartenders made excellent drinks that were strong but also not to weak. The pyramid restaurant is a beautiful place with a great buffet and staff.

This place is amazing. The hot springs are fantastic and gorgeous. It surpassed all my expectations. Best resort I've ever been to. There are like 20 pools here it's UNREAL. The water slides here are hardcore and way fast. So much fun had here and I am definitely coming back on my next trip to Costa Rica.

Beautiful place. Water slides were very fast. Only complaint was the prices at the bar. $6 for a beer and $12 for a cocktail (after tax and tip)

We had a wonderful time in the springs, but I highly recommend staying elsewhere and visiting the springs. The rooms and food onsite were very pricey and just mediocre. If you do stay at the hotel, be sure that you check all of your charges and check the minibar upon check in. Overall the customer service was great, but we were treated very poorly at check out. Apparently, the maid service does not check the minibar on a regular basis and the attendant at the checkout tried to charge us $10 for a bottle of juice that someone else drank 1/3 of of the bottle. We spent 20 mins at checkout arguing with the guy. It was a terrible feeling after spending so much money at the establishment. I will not stay there again nor will I recommend the hotel.

This resort is amazing. I will definitely visit again. The hot springs start at the bottom which is cool then as you go up to different ones it gets hotter. The higher you go is close to the volcano so it's definitely worth it. Plus they have bars in some of the hot springs which is pretty nice. There is a restaurant in between the first half of the hot springs and the beginning. So enjoy at your leisure.

Spectacular Pools with different temperatures and some with a bar. I really recommend going there no matter what whether it is. The price is ok and the facilities are clean, we were not really satisfied with the staff.

The Springs is a great place to visit. It can have a slightly romantic vibe, there are a lot of honeymooners walking around. However lots of families as well. Drinks are super expensive $5 for a soda, $10 for an adult beverage. The place was clean and well worth the stop.

I would stay longer but I was turning into a raisin, Hahahaha.
Loved the thermal pools, some with music.. Other more quiet.. Plenty to choose from.
Altho they have a small list of cocktails but don't be afraid to ask for other options They are super kind and will give you more options to choose from, make sure you create an account with your credit card at the beginning, that way you can go around just with your towel.

Loved the pools, very appealing to the eye, spent all day there. Nice water slides too, really fast! Didn't eat there because food and drinks were very expensive, but at least you can go out and come back in without any problems. Definitely recommend this place for the hot spring experience.

Great way to spent the evening after a long and rainy day through the jungle and zip lining. In fact we enjoyed it so much that we went there two days in a row. We were lucky to go there before the high season started, therefore we had most of the pools to ourselves. One thing I would like to point out however is that the buffet is not worth the money.

My wife & I spent Christmas 2016 here. Let me tell you that it was WELL worth it. The hotel greeted us with smiles, although we didn't make reservations the hotel was able to accommodate us. The staff led us to the on site secured and patrolled parking lot, picked us up with a golf cart and loaded our bags and drove us to our room making mentions along the way of key things like the restaurants, changing rooms, coffee shop, and the map to all of the pools. The pools range from cool to incredibly hot. All the staff were pleasant. Most pools have swim up bars, you'll pay a bit more for the services at the swim up bar, but that's to be expected. The rooms were spotless, with A/C & HEAT! which you think you wouldn't use, but you will! Bed was perfect. Each room has a safe, fully stocked bathroom (sewing kits, nail files) the breakfast buffet was amazing. Check out my photos of this place including the food to see the quality you will get. For once it's nice to see the resort photos actually represent the rooms. Bring your children as there is a kids fun park which has ample seating for parents.
