Efficient, quiet and very private. It has a great pool to swim laps. Nice garden area with great views and direct access to the beach

It was 3/28/2016 when my died due to the rip tides in the water front of Alma Del Pacifico while we were staying at Alma Del Pacifico. I have waited for almost two years and the owner of this hotel has never said a word of condolence. I am not writing to damage the image of the hotel because the manager was a huge help during this tragic event. I didn’t speak Spanish and local police and medical personnels didn’t speak English. The worst moment of my life took place there. It is my belief that the owner of the hotel at least should have shown sadness and regret especially none of my family was informed about the danger of the undercurrent in the waters near the hotel and Costa Rica. There was no sign of danger either. Whoever is reading this comments and has not been aware of the danger of rip tides, please know it can take the lives away in a blink of an eye. My two boys were also swept by the waters but survived and can’t thank God enough for that. So much to say about this incident and had tortured me for all this time and patiently waiting to hear from the owner. I learned about this incident while I was in downtown Parita with my youngest boy for other errands. Life is short but very precious and no life should be taken away because one was not aware of the danger of the water. Just not fair. I know that now the danger of the rip tides is well known by many travelers and news media. That does not mean everyone in Costa Rica is aware of this and deserve to die for that.
I would like to have a formal apology from the owner of the Costa Rica and have the danger signs up in the perimeter of the hotel.

This is a magical place and there is no place like this in the world. My wife and I were married here and we have so many special memories here at this place. There is so much to do on this quiet little Beach. I recommend this hotel to anyone that comes to Costa Rica.

I stayed there for 4 days with my wife the rooms are very nice and the beach is very very nice however they could change their menu in the restaurant I don't believe it is changed since the hotel opened at would be a pleasant surprise
It is quite difficult to find however once you have found it it's not bad there are a couple of other hotels located along the same dirt road so you do have a choice of other places to have dinner or lunch if you prefer it's about midway between Heckle and quepos and there very good otherwise.response / report this review -

We stayed at Alma Del Pacifico for a week in January. The villas are very spacious and have great views of palm trees, beach and water. The staff here goes above and beyond for each of their guests (or at least for us). The hotel is quiet and the "vacationers" tends to be around retirement age. You will find yourself alone at their beautiful pools for hours on end or enjoying the beach with very little trace of other people. Places like Jaco, Manuel Antonio and Uvita are all within driving distance. Freddy & waitstaff take excellent care of you!!

Formerly known as Xandari by the Pacific, this boutique hotel has excellent accommodations and services with great views of the Esterillos Este beach.
Great to stay or great for lunch/dinner. I just can't get enough of it!

Beautiful hotel and location, only faults would be far above normal prices for similar rooms, and the water can be dangerous with huge waves if you go too far out. It feels upscale and is more designed for larger groups of 4 or more.

The location, staff and restaurant are an all-in-one package. They offer a great product, but you need to be prepared to pay that. As in many businesses that establish themselves on pristine shorelines, they don't come cheap. Alma does a good job at the finer details. The rooms are clean and tidy, the restaurant serves great food and the staff are super friendly (like all Costa Ricans). But, be prepared to pay, it's not cheap, it depends on what it's worth to you. You can find a number of places on the shoreline, some better than others, prices will fluctuate. This place actually comes close to reasoning their costs.

A wonderful beach, great views, and no-one to disturb your vacation. The resort is still in good shape, although service is limited and the amenities are a bit run down.
