BEWARE!!!!!!!!!! I have been gone from Costa Rica for MONTHS now and this company is still charging my card AFTER the owner gave me a receipt for a refund!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!
UPDATE:
The owner did not give me a refund as he said he would!!! I checked my statement and sure enough there was a charge. I called my cc company and no signs of a refund. He lied! Thankfully my cc company disputed it right away and gave me my money back. I can't believe what a jerk this owner is. Never ever ever do business with them! I'm sure he hoped I wouldn't notice this charge so he could keep my money.

As a couple other reviewers mentioned, this place has horrible customer service! The owner is arrogant and rude. I came in looking for 4 seater atv rental. It was too hot so we decided to come back later and when we did, my husband went in and was overcharged. Every other place charged $189 and our 2 3 year old boys were free. Well this guy charged my husband $250. ($189 plus an additional charge for each kid) He also took a $500 deposit. I get it, different prices from different businesses. Whatever. No big deal. I went back and kindly asked one of the employees for a refund because a block down the street Adventure Tours had offered us the exact same tour with the 4 seater rental for $189, kids free and transportation from the hotel. The problem was that instead of graciously giving us a refund, he started talking smack under his breath while the employee refunded me the money. He said the buggies at the other place were “sh** cars” and his were better and then proceeded to talk down at me in front of his employees and other customers. I couldn’t believe it. I too am a business owner and I know that is no way to speak to a customer. Charge what you want but if a customer decides they don’t want to pay that, don’t harrass them and disrespect them. I would never do business with this guy especially after reading some reviews about him charging for any minor scratch on the atvs. How do I know it was my doing? Good luck getting your $500 deposit back. Even the employees looked embarrassed. SO MANY other places to rent from with much much friendlier owners and better ethics.response / report this review -

We did the beach and mountain horseback riding and it was an awesome experience. They were 50 minutes late, but the overall experience and service was great. Great price. They picked us up from our hotel. Our guide was relaxed and kind, while very reserved. As an introvert I appreciated this. He was so awesome in pointing out wildlife we didn’t notice and educating us about our surroundings on the mountain. He was so willing to take pictures. Thank you!

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE, there is a $2500 deposit and you will not get it back, once you sign, its your word versus theres in a foreign country. I am still working on a lawyer and getting my money back.

3 of us did a 3-hour ATV tour with Peto this past weekend. The views were amazing, the cruising was fun, and Peto kicked ass as our tour guide. Thanks for the rad time!

Probably one of the best experiences we had in Costa Rica. Danny was an excellent tour guide and we hit it off right away. I highly recommend this tour to anyone coming to Jaco and I will do it again when I come back.

Do NOT rent from this place. The owner is a scumbag. When I returned the bike, I was told I'd be charged $30 for a scratch on the front fender, he then charged me $44 and told me I was lucky not to be charged more. There are lots of options for renting bikes in and around Jaco (more than what shows up on internet searches) and I would recommend you go with any of them except AXR Jaco. DBAG + Pura Vida!

We did a ATV and waterfall tour, and our tour guide Peto was great, extremely nice and informative, he was patient with us in any questions we had. The tour was wonderful and they take you to a small restaurant up on a mountain that has a wonderful Tamal and good orange juice. Great tour and wonderful staff. If you like adventure and look at great views check them out.

Hi guys , the experience we had with my friends (7 Russian guys) was a blast
The equipment and guides was amazing , and what make the difference with AXR was the ride !!!!
A real ATV tour!!!!!
( we do a combo in Los Suenos last time and the zip line was ok but the ATV was a shi, a kind of track , really boring and no fun)
AXR team know what they do .The best way to see the backyard of Costa Rica

The BEST experience ever!! My first time driving/riding on an ATV and our guide made sure I was comfortable. The drive up as well as down was AMAZING and a BEAUTIFUL view. The top of the mountain is breath taking and the waterfalls are gorgeous! Our guide was very knowledgeable and showed us everything there was for us to see. The staff was friendly as well and we would definitely do it again!! Sorry I do not recall our guide name, but I do recall him saying he was from Argentina.
