Good location. The rooms should be quieter and the bathroom and kitchen should be cleaner? The staff was very nice.
Good breakfast. Area does feel unsafe at nice. Very friendly staff. No heating but has hot water 😊
Good location, market less than fifty metres away, short walk to Main shopping area on Carrera 7. Comfortable bed, nice breakfast but no choice. Very cold, no heating at all and most of the seating areas open to the atmosphere.
Acogedor
Neighbourhood gets unsafe after sunset, nearest shops are 10 to 15 min walk, rooms are cold at night. But the staff is nice nad breakfast served ok.
cheap price, bad location
La hospitalidad en la atencion es excelente!!!
Buen lugar para hospedarse , ambiente muy familiar.
The backpacker hostel is located so close at the foot of the mountain, you can find yourself in peace since the area offers a relaxing , chill and laid-back ambience. Also not too far away from "Chorro de quevedo" (less than two blocks away) a really well-known area in Bogotà (it's a famous & historic place) as well as the Monserrate Mountain, which it is the view you get to see from the hostal, it's also super close to go up there (by Cableway or by "funicular" which it's like a small train) and take a look at the wonderful view of the Bogotá city.
You get to have breakfast included, hot water for a hot shower, it's super safe since someone is always there to open the door for you, this way you feel safer since they don't allow anyone to come into the hostel, and you can enjoy interactions with different nationalities, travelers from around the world. There's a social area where you can watch tv, drink beer, enjoy music, hang out, all in a really friendly atmosphere.
I have met so many travelers during my short stay (so far), coming from: Brasil, Argentina, Mexico, Italy, Ecuador, Australia, U.S.A, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Japan, China and else.
You can also walk around the area where the hostal is located and there are stunning views from it as well. Downtown Bogotá is also super close, there are so many events happening such as: the free walking tour (where you can have a guide to show you around), the graffiti tour (since Bogotás Art and culture has grown so much, there are several international graffiti Artists who have come and painted the streets as well as national artists). So many things to do in the city, the Staff in the hostal can provide you with loads of information for you to gather around and attend the different activities, events, museums, galleries, parks that you might enjoy.
All in all, it's a great experience to come and spend quality time, share some memories in the Tip Top Backpacker.
Great location. Great staff. Recommended
