Incredibly beautiful! Take comfy shoes (like hiking sandals) as you'll be doing plenty of walking. Food there is not great and over priced so if you're staying only.for the day being your own and take some water. Don't forget to buy the famous chocolate bread in the park, but buy it on your way in as oppose to on your way out as it gets sold out fast. It's delicious.

An awesome nature reserve, the best beaches in Colombia with a variety of accomodations. Reservation are a requirement for overnight stay and day entrance. The horse rides between the different sites is helpful. The restaurants have a good basic menu a bit pricey. The staff is attentive and professional.

A great natural park to visit if you're in Santa Marta. Beautiful. Just be prepared for traffic an allow yourself plenty of time to get there and back. A must do in Colombia.

Wonderful peace of heaven. One day isn't enough to see and feel the place. There is a restaurant with really good food. Bring some repellent and slippers, it's a little adventure till you reach the beaches.

Beautiful landscapes, amazing natural park. You can bring your tent or hammocks and stay in one of the beaches where it is allowed to camp. It is recommended to buy a lot of water before entering the park since it is very expensive to buy it inside.

Amazing experience, one in a lifetime, it's like something out of a movie.

Get ready to hike 2 hours to the beach or 1 hour horse ride.

Park Tayrona was just amazing. Few things to note are there are 3 beaches that you can hike to with the final one being Cabo San Juan. The first beach has signs posted warning you that over 100 people have lost their lives due to the incredibly strong undercurrent - heed this advice and do not attempt to swim there. The second beach is called La Piscina which is a sheltered beach that has a rocky outcropping that blocks the waves, great place to swim. Finally there's the 3rd beach Cabo San Juan that has two sides to the beach and is pretty amazing. There is a restaurant there where the food is really quite good.

Side note: If you're looking for a bit of adventure, continue on the trail and there are three more beaches you can visit with the final one being a nude beach.

I loved this place. Gorgeous scenery coupled with rich wildlife. Stayed for 3nights and it was just enough to explore a small part of it. Only downside is the pricy (for Colombian standards) food.

I definitely loved loved loved this place. It is a must if you're around the area. As a foreigner , the entrance fee isn't exactly cheap ($48,000 COPS), but it was totally worth it. Also recommended to stay at least for a night, to walk around and explore as much as you can.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Go early in the morning mid week to avoid the crowds. Rent a hammock for the night. No light pollution = amazing sky. Water is prone to rip tides, be aware on the beaches. The food here was just average and expensive for what it is so either bring your own or be prepared for disappointment.

This place is absolutely astonishing, we finally got a chance to travel to The Tayrona last year; we traveled 2 hours, by boat, from Santa Martha. It is very difficult to access by sea (really high waves and vey in predictable ride) but it was well worth.
We've been to many beaches in the Caribbean, Mexico, US and South America and this are the best we've seen. I honestly hope locals and tourists care for this natural reserve, I want to see my kids and, in a long future my grandkids visiting responsibility.

Absolutely amazing, cannot be missed! The beaches are gorgeous and satisfy any taste and the way to reach them is really beautiful in the jungle. Be aware that is takes 2 hours of walking to reach the first beach if you don't want to take a horse.

    A paradise on earth!
Its changing a bit, not sure I like it.
They shouldn't rent this national park to investors from France who they only care is profit. This is a national park leave it to the natives and locals.
    The locals need our support!
They lack of knowledge money and power to do so, so we the people and visitor need to support them!
