This place was great. Unlike a lot of places that get recommend in blogs and guide books, this place was top quality! I got the Cartagena beef dish, and devoured every bite.
Sensational food. We ate ceviche, eggplant dip and sopa caribe. Our server was lovely and helped us with other local hotspots. Expect a longer than indicated wait for a table. A nice cold cerveza Colombia helped.
tbey do not honor their own operating times
Great food and service was good too. Opens at 7 but worth the wait. I ordered the flank steak that wrapped around onion and red peppers - albeit a bit saltier than I’d like the meal was overall excellent. I’d also highly recommended the sour guava juice.
Over all the food was pretty good. Meat was a little dry. Staff could of been more friendly. But it was nice, I would visit again.
Great place. An amazing version of ceviche, with carrots and pickles, totally worth to try (it must be my 7th ceviche in Cartagena and could be in my top 3). The place has a great combination of local flavors and the best local beer I have tried in town
Delicious Colombian food. Small resturant so there may be a queue but it is worth it. The staff were really friendly and explained all the dishes to us. I had the chicken vegetable soup which was delightful, although not so much when you walk out into the humidity in Cartagena, but don't let that stop you!
Wow! I had the cheese soup one day, and the fish soup another day. Both were completely unique dishes. If this kitchen were transplanted to a major US city, the meals would be $60, but here they were $6USD. Don't be deceived by the unassuming exterior, and the sight of only 7 tables - this place is a gem. Staff is friendly and professional and speak English very well. Lots of great food in Old Town and Gethsemani, but this was the best, and the best value.
Intimate place with friendly and smiling staff.
The food is very tasty and was quickly served to the table (less than 30 minutes between our entrance in the restaurant and the moment when the dishes were served).
Main dishes are between 30 000 and 39 000 COP (count 10% service to add to the bill).
Credit / debit cards are accepted.
Small intimate place that has 6 to 7 little tables. Has limited opening hours and a line forms minutes before they open for dinner. Well worth the wait and dining experience. They price themselves on the traditional menu items of the Cartagena area. Soups and stews are their specialty. There are a couple appetizers that are great too. Really liked the eggplant and stuffed peppers.
(If you cannot get there right as they open, try back in about an hour or hour and half. That seems to be when the tables turn over.)
Amazing restaurant I discovered randomly walking in the area. The food is great and the staff very friendly. They had great vegetarian options. Also, I was the only tourist in the restaurant, all the others were locals :) I really recommend it !
Went here because of a recommendation from a friend and it was close to our hotel. It ended up being one of my favorite places that I tried in Cartagena. The food was exceptional and the staff was so helpful and accommodating. Has great vegetarian options. Highly recommend this place!
Unpretentious place with really good traditional food. They really make you taste the flavours of the region. Portions are good without being huge, but you get the quality. The staff is very nice, patient and helpful. Prices I think are lower than inside the old town, but definitely worth it
We went to this restaurant because it had great reviews. I must admit the food was really, really good. Same notes to consider: 1 - it was hard for us to locate the restaurant, it is in a dark alley we weren't expecting and it doesn't have a large sign. 2 - The place is really small, so you will probably have to wait at least 15 min for a table. 3 - It is an expensive restaurant, so go prepare. It accepts both cash and credit cards.
