It's dated a bit, believe it was one of the first hotels built in the area. So got an older charm to it. Love the animals that hangout in the gardens.

Had a great time! In walking distance of shops without the spring break feel. Easy taxi drive to walled city. Loved the "mini jungle" in the center of the complex.
Staff very helpful and free breakfast great. Omelettes and waffles made to order. Fresh fruit and breads/pastries are wonderful. Food varied each day.
Even though busy with holiday crowd, still felt taken care of and secure. Concierge was very knowledgeable.

Very nice hotel/resort. Close to the beach. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The complex includes a swimming pool cleaned daily, children's playground, miniature golf, gardens, and wildlife. There are deer on the property. Breakfast was very good. Staff were awesome at assisting with questions. Location was excellent for our needs and expectations.

Rooms are dated but clean if you can get over that you will enjoy this hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. The grounds are amazing, tropical landscape, well maintained, large pool with plenty of chairs. Restaurant and bar on premises , food is okay, drinks are expensive. The beach is right across the street and a private area for hotel guest. There are many shops in walking distance. The Walled City is close. Learn some basic Spanish or use a translator very few speak English.

The rooms and pool area were gorgeous! The breakfast buffet was pretty good. The location wasn't my favorite. The staff were friendly, but not always helpful.

Loved this hotel! We stayed in the Colonial section on the 5th floor and the rooms were clean and well appointed. Breakfast was great and the restaurant by the pool was outstanding! Easy to get a taxi to go anywhere and very safe. The beach is across the street with a great seafood restaurant also. If looking for emeralds, definitely go to the jewelry store inside the hotel. Much less expensive than anywhere else, great quality, and very knowledgeable. I️ highly recommend this hotel.

The staff is very kind, rooms are cozy and clean. The pool area is very nice. Location is convenient: close to the Bocagrande Beaches and just 10 min by car from the old city of Cartagena. In general, a good deal for the price.

Amazing! This historic but impeccably maintained hotel at the end of Bocagrande.

Outside the front doors of the hotel, you're in the noisiness of the city, but walk out the back, and you feel like you're in a rainforest. Wild toucans, parrots, and deer! Bonuses: the pool is open til 9pm and is very romantic at night, great WiFi in the rooms, and a great gift shop (don't wait until the airport when you're leaving!).

One of the oldest four/five star hotels in cartagena. Well known and regarded by the locals. Not just another concrete block but a idyllic garden area with multiple smaller buildings. The pool and lounging area in the midlle with it's restaurants and bars is fantastic! We enjoyed the variety of food and drink options.

Unfortunately not all of us where happy with their rooms, especially the bathrooms cleanliness. But all issues were quickly resolved when we talked to the receptionist. Another annoyence was that everything was handled with paper receipts.

Hotel Caribe is a unique property in Cartagena! It has a view of the beach and Laguna side of Cartagena. At night, you can see the new city light up and during the day you can enjoy the view of the tropical landscape and animals. The property has a spacious pool, store for shopping, dive shop, restaurants and bar. If you want to explore, Hotel Caribe is a short taxi ride from the Old City. A taxi ride is less than $5 USD. The staff at the hotel was great and eager to help. Can't wait to return!

Clean and safe hotel. Very pleasant experience until check out when they try to charge you for things you already bought with a card at the bar. Keep your receipts.

Nice next to ocean but also has nice pool on property. Breakfast - anyone's taste is satisfied.
