Great hotel on seashore in touristic district. Fine service, new building, a bit dirty pool on rooftop, but it is ok. We had room with seaview and were really happy. Hotel has noize resistance windows. Its good, coz near is small road. Overall hotel and district were nice! It was the best situation in the city.
A decent spot in Bocagrande. Everyone was nice and the service was good. The cleaning staff kept our room in good order. I only had two issues.. the sink drained at a very slow rate and even though the a.c. worked, the from remained a little humid.
Lovely staff, clean hotel and central to everything in Cartagena. Staff know enough English to help, especially Noise between rooms would be my only issue. We woke up every morning based on our neighbour's alarm.
Just came back from a great vacation in Cartagena, Colombia, where we stayed at hotel Capilla. This hotel is centrally located just a block away from everything, restaurants, shopping, you-name-it, it's in walking distance. The hotel staff was the best, hospitality like none other, friendliness and professionalism. The only recommendation I would give would be to offer, and this may be just for certain rooms, more comfortable bedding and softer towels, other than that I wouldn't stay anywhere else location location location
I am very impressed with my stay at Hotel capilla del Mar. This would be top 3 on my list for all hotels l stayed in my life. First, all staffs are so friendly and going extra miles making you feel like home. The room is very clean with great beach view. I video taped best sunrise from the balcony in my room. Breakfast is delicious. Location is great just across street to beach and close to commecicom area. Checkout the roof top swimming pool. It's very nice. I am really happy with my stay there and would highly recommend to everyone.
Food was not that great but the service was good and friendly staff.
One of my favorite hotels by the beach in Cartagena. Great service & spacious rooms with balconies.
Was there to get picked up for the Chicago Rumbera. The employees I spoke to were very helpful and polite.
Stayed here during a business trip to Cartagena for one night. The location is excellent just beside the beach. Area has lots of shopping and lively beach. Would not say the water is best in the world but very warm weather in August so surely must be enjoyable. The hotel is ok. No complementary water in room neither any tea or coffee maker. So help yourself outside before going to room. Room has all other amenities. Good pillow choices. Towel quality could be improved as all too hard for my likeness. People are polite and breakfast was reasonable. The air condition is very good but noisy so did not have a peaceful sleep. Got iPod clock on bedside so not bad. Bed was comfy and clean. Room had one extra sitting room- quite large. Would not mind staying again.
Nice hotel with very good view of the ocean from the restaurant. Nice atmosphere on a nice afternoon.
Loved this boutique hotel. I enjoyed it from check-in to check-out. I definitely recommend looking to stay here. Exceptional staff. Very convenient location. Beach Right Across The Street. Had an amazing and relaxing stay. Loved that it had a fitness center spa services & pool at roof top with an awesome view of the beach.
Me and my fiance stayed here for 4 days and had a great time! The hotel sits right across the street from the beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and well maintained and the room we stayed in was really nice. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked flawlessly. The pool on the rooftop is nice with 360 degree views and the food offered there was pretty tasty. If you're staying in Cartagena I would recommend staying here!
Super
Staff is very tedious and expect to get very generous tips after hours. I'm talking about a 1/4 of their weekly salary in tips which is kinda of over reaching if you ask me.
Beautiful resort right across the street from the beach. Nice views from balcony and love the island feel. Hotel staff very nice with lots of information. We took the Chiva bus tour around Cartagena with two small toddlers, was great but extremely hot which the hotel recommend.
Wasn't allowed to bring friends in to the hotel room, was told I would have to spend 200,000 pesos to have a guest in the room. This is unacceptable, it wasn't mentioned anywhere in the booking information. Do not come to this hotel, customer service was horrible.
Overall a disappointing experience, especially for the price.
First, a truly terrible smell kept coming into my bathroom, when I called housekeeping to get rid of it they did, but it kept coming back and was awful.
The hotel also refused to allow guests in your room after 6pm, but this is mentioned nowhere in the hotel policy so proved to be extremely embarrassing. Had it been clearIy listed on hotel rules I wouldn't have minded, but it was not so one night l tried to bring 3 friends back to my room and was told no one could come up. Security treated me like a misbehaving schoolgirl instead of an adult guest at an expensive hotel.
I did enjoy the attached hotel beach across the street, gym, breakfast buffet and rooftop pool.
