Came here for several years now because our office is close by. Unfortunately this hotel is too much rundown. Rooms are too old, breakfast is bad.

My first visit to Beijing. My husband comes for business a few times a year and always stays at the Park Plaza. I cannot fault the hotel on any level. The staff are amazingly friendly and appreciated my less than good efforts at speaking Chinese. They all try to speak basic English and some are fluent. It was our anniversary while we were there and we were presented with a cake and a bottle of wine at dinner. The hotel is clean and well placed for the underground which is easy to navigate and very reasonably priced. If I am lucky enough to come to Beijing again I will definitely stay here.

Beds are softer here than at similarly priced hotels. Friendlier staff, faster service, and more affordable than the Ariva. Only steps away from the nearest subway station (Zhichun Lu). Left out valuables and cash -- on accident -- but they didn't get stolen. Cleaner than other hotels; also provides free bottled water (x2) daily. Doesn't run out of hot water during peak hours, offers free hair conditioner (wish all hotels did), the bathtubs are kinda small. Fast, free Internet good for movie watching and games, but Skype calls occasionally drop (depends on peak hours). Have frequented this hotel multiple times now. I'm rating five stars, based on my experience with different BJ hotels within the same price range.

OK but not what I had expected. Food was good, hotel was clean. You'd think with as many western guests as I saw somebody in the hotel would have a basic knowledge of English.
Room was too hot and the thermostat is locked. They brought me a fan. Pollution was too bad to open a window.
