Hotel is fine, however it is in a bit of weird location to get too. Room was clean and staff generally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine but nothing special.
For proximity to the Olympic stadium area it is ideal but around that area right by hotel isn't really catering for western tourists. There is a small shopping centre nearby with supermarket and McDonalds and various restaurants.
It is short walk to tube/underground train station but ultimately we used taxi's mostly as the walk to and from hotel is bit dark and secluded so wouldn't recommend walking it at night alone.
Decent semi modern hotel in a good location very close to subway station. The hotel is let down by the very poor breakfast on offer. Hotel staffs are friendly and are always haply to help.
I liked the experience here. It is located right at the heart of Beijing, close to the famous Bird's Nest stadium, it is a walking distance from the hotel.
Great location north of forbidden city. Close to two metro lines that goes four directions. Great price with good choices for breakfast included. Walking distance to the Olympics park.
The booking price from the booking site I used was much lower than what I was charged upon arrival (33% lower). On top of that, the price was then lowered the day after I arrived to 40% lower than that, which was salt on an open wound. The rooms have no air conditioner unless it's summer, so our room was blisteringly hot in the nighttime. The internet is very slow also.
Excellent hotel - Nice view from my room 983. Was there on 7th Dec 2015 - 14 Dec 2015. The lake's top layer is frozen - a good science experience - Density of water is maximum at 4^C & Volume is at its minimum at 4^C - volume of water expands as its tempt gets lower - hence density decreases;-) D = M/V . Density of water in liquid form is 1g/cm3. Density of ice @ 0^C is lower than this hence it floats.
Good Hotel. I stayed for 1 week in September 2015. Front desk staff as well as the house keeping staff were very courteous and helpful. I had a pillow that was too soft and housekeeping made an effort to change it for me as soon as I asked about it even though I wasn't going to need it for 10 hours time.
The location of the hotel is good with walking proximity to the National Stadium, Aquatics Center and The National Olympic Center. There are also a couple of subway stops within easy walking distance. A few restaurants are nearby as well, but nothing great. Street vendors are available in the evening selling fruit and crepes. There is a convenience store located just outside the main entrance.
My rate included breakfast which was great. There were Chinese offerings of dumplings, vegetables and rice, and also eggs made to order, a do it yourself toaster with a variety of breads and cereal, coffee, juice, milk, tea, etc. Overall the breakfast was very good, but could get busy depending on what time you were there and if there was a big tour group preparing for departure.
Wifi was included with the room. It was pretty good, but not blazing fast. Plenty of bandwidth for a call over messaging apps, but not reliable enough to sit down and enjoy a streaming video all the time.
