the worst services I've ever received from ANY of the lodging industry.
After two hours flight delay and over one hour stuck in traffic from the airport to the hotel, we arrived at the hotel around 3 am. Without any greeting, the front desk personnel, Yu Ma, who was playing her cellphone behind the desk issued us the keys and asked for the credit card. One of two keys doesn't work for the elevators nor the room. After we open the room, we figured out it was a two beds room with extremely bad smell. We went back to the lobby. Again, Yu was playing her phone. First, she said our reservation was for two beds room, after showed her the confirmation, she then said they didn't have any one bed available. Not to mention, without authorization, she charged $500 USD for security deposit on my credit card. As we insisted to speak to a manager, we got a one bed room which bathroom sink clog issues. At least, it smells much better than the first one. Since it almost 4am, we just kept the room. I submitted the formal complaints to IHG group. Only received an email reply saying they couldn't locate my reservation.
Therefore, think twice before you choose this holiday inn.response / report this review -

Facilities are much new when compare with Beijing downtown Holiday Inns system. And the service from Hotel's staff are most kind and politely especially Executive club floor. For sure will consider to stay again future.

very poor air conditioning, could not feel the breeze after midnight; always need a fan (or beg the room servicebto reserve one?!) yep in July!!
no air cond during Apr to May at all, the manager explained it is BK city policy. do you believe it? i can find other local brand hotel like å…¨å£ air cond still works!

Decent rooms, friendly staff. Location of the hotel is a good distance from many sights. The neighborhood is not that great though.

Rooms are quite good so if just a place to sleep you are looking for then Ok. Problem is temperature control in Chinese hotels. Too hot and uncontrollable. Being in a residential area there are not a lot of options for restaurants close by. However a 15 min walk to Deshengmen gate and then just a bit south to the lakes of Houhai. I find the breakfast quite good with a nice combination of Chinese and Western selections. The chefs are in general friendly and helpful.

Very nice hotel. American atm and money exchange. 2 restaurants and spa. Kinda far from tourist area.
