Trendy hostel / Location so so ! Stayed 3 nights at Free Guys Youth Hostel in September 2013. I choose it only because it was ranked #1 on a popular travel website. I booked a private room via a third-party hotel website for only 450 rmb. I was very surprised by this cool and trendy hostel actually. Check-in was ok, the staff speaks a bit english, good to know, they don't provide towels, soap and shampoo, so bring yours or you can buy small ones at the front desk. It's clean and modern, my private room was perfect, very minimalist. It's shared bathroom/shower. They have a cool lounge on the second floor, as well, they have washing machines for your use. This hostel is located on 3 floors of a tower of around 30 floors . The only bad thing was for me the location, the closest subway station is Chunxi Road, about 20 minutes walk. Not very convenient. So since the taxi is cheap, I was taking taxis everyday. Good to know as well, you have a 24h convenience store right on the other side of the street of the hostel. You are about 5 minutes walk from Chengdu TV Tower and as well a brand new Mall calls Fun2 (coffee shops/H&M/Gap/) By taxi, you are about 5 minutes from Lan Kwai Fong Chengdu. Free wifi as usual here. I was really satisfied to stay here and I recommend even if the public transportation are not close of the hostel.

First of all, its bike friendly. Just wheel your bike inside to the back and lock it. or, you can take it up to your room! There's loads of bike travelling dudes here so its really cool. Walking distance to ATMs eateries supermarkets & even bicycle shops. They have loadsa room; dorms, single / double with & without toilet. Friendly and very fluent english speaking staffs. Prices starts at 35¥ for dorm beds. Very clean. Located at the suburbs about 30minutes cycling (amidst the mad traffic) from the train station. Only complaint is that the wifi is SLOWWW
