Very nice hostel with great and polite staff. Not only the location is awesome also the cleanliness was surprising good. 5 stars for this hostel, because it's the most recomandable hostel I have ever been. Will choose it for my next stay in Shanghai again.

Amazing place and people.
The staff is helpful, speaks good english, there is a nice atmosphere, the facilities work, the towels, sheets, bathrooms are clean.
The internet can get slow in the afternoon, and many rooms have no window to the outside and they can't guarantee if you will get one or not, but apart from that, we stayed almost 3 weeks while looking for an apartment and don't have anything bad to say.
The staff even helped me take my luggage down the stairs and call a cab when we moved out.
Better than many hotels (as long as you're fine with sharing bathroom and kitchen of course)

Fun and friendly hostel at a decent price!

I stayed there on the weekends in December, and it was always packed with people, making it an ideal place for anyone wanting to make new friends. It's always a mix of Chinese and foreign travelers, with a pool table, guitar, comfy sofa and desks to work on in the common area. The place in general required a bit of maintenance, but the room and shower room was clean. There's a laundry / dryer facility, hot water, kitchen, drinks, and always good travel information to grab at the lobby. The staffs were very chill and friendly, and the check-in and out procedures were quick and easy. Luban road subway line 4 station is right in front, so it's easy to get to anywhere.

There are some long-term stay people, so it could be troublesome if you happen to not get along with them.

Con: I saw a rat one night in the kitchen.

Overall, strongly recommend this place to anyone for good, decently priced hostel.

I had a very good experience, nice helpfull staff. Busy & lively café with a great mix of visitors (travellers, chinese students, artists, ), I met various interesting and cool people. Subway is just across the street, very convenient!
