The location was excellent - in the middle of the hutongs. Subway was a 10 minute walk away. Rooms were very nice

Staff were very conflicting with information resulting in some wasted time and delays for us.

A very luxury atmosphere in this hidden hotel. However, all the rooms are not equals, some are much nicer than others for the same price ! (But Bathrooms are very nice.) Furthermore, the rooms are not soundproof, unfortunately we heard a baby crying during a full night !!
Hopefuly, the staff is helpful and can help you for any kind of booking.

Definantly encourage staying here rather than a cliche touristy best western if you want the true experience of being in china.
Reasons to stay here.
Traditional style rooms.
It's in a great location, not as much pollution like down by the forbidden city, great shops and entertainment in the same alleys.
A much more authentic feel staying in traditional hutong.
Very good breakfast and decor.

The only downside was they say they have english speaking workers but they only know a couple of words and the room was a little small. Also don't book a tour through the hotel, the people that you go on the tour with will con you out of money and spend the majority of the time taking extra stops to businesses that clearly pay them to have you stop in so they can sell you stuff. Wish we had spent more than a freaking hour at the great wall on 'the great wall of china tour' and not 5 at silly pit stops. The tour guide also didn't accompany us outside of the van and then slept on the rides and expected a tip after we spent double the yuan by the end. The whole tour group was pissed and didn't tip either.
