Didn’t stay here but stopped by for a slice of pizza. Sometimes that’s just what you need after a long day of meetings.
Five stars without thinking about it. The place it's amazing. In the center of the city, you can reach a lot of places just by walking or in a couple of stops by metro.
The staff is amazing and very helpful.
And the place it's actually clean!
Not to mention the cool view on the city that you have on the roof.
I've been there 3 times and I've never been disappointed. You can also book the taxi to the airport (well mostly someone that they know but you'll be there safe and on time).
A plus to that place are the amazing tourist that decide to stay there. As soon as you finish your checkin you're probably already talking with someone else. So if you're travelling alone it's one of the best places to go.
Highly recommended.
Good located place, big enough rooms which they clean everyday. English speaking and helpful staff, a bar downstairs which you can eat food as well. You can join the tours to great wall for 280yuan.
So I have been to the Simatai part of the Wall with the hostel, no stops on the way like other tours to try to make you buy something. We had 3 hours on the wall which was more than enough for 10 towered Simatai part. You can pay 90 to use the cable car but it is easy and possible to walk as well. Definitely must visit the wall.
Really great place to stay. Affordable and had access to many amenities. Near to the subway line. Also English speaking
Good location, great outdoor terrace and a nice bar. The staff are welcoming and speak good English. It misses out on 5 stars because there is no communal room or self service kitchen.
Stayed here in summer 2015. Like it. Very responsive and helpful staff, speak english, have free WiFi, a lot of international travelers.
WARNING: There is no Google in China and international credit cards are accepted only in Bank Of China.
A good hostel, good staff and fairly good location. There is a bus to the main railway station or you can walk it in about 20-30mins. Dorm rooms clean. Top roof has good views.
The staff at Saga Youth Hostel are very friendly and professional and they took very good care of my friends and I.
We had a miserable flight/journey to Beijing and once they found out about it, they did everything they could to make sure we were very comfortable and happy during our stay.
They answered all our questions and completed all our requests.
The rooms and facilities were very clean.
I will stay here again in the future.
We stayed here on the 14th March 2016, decent hostel with a large number of rooms. No eating your own food in the bar + there is no kitchen area if this makes a difference to you. Decent location 10 mins walk from the tube/shops.
Room
Our room was clean and spacious, we had a double without ensuite which was great.
Wifi
Wifi was OK - dropped out and was pretty slow but can't complain for such a large hostel.
Toilet/Shower
The shared bathrooms/toilets were pretty basic and a tad dirty but generally they were ok. Only 3 showers + 2 toilets in the gents so be prepared to queue at peak times.
Bar
Nice bar area beer was cheap but the food was a little expensive for the area. Met some decent people.
Would stay again!
Decent hostel in Beijing. I stayed in the 8-bed dorm and was quite happy with the quality of the beds: curtains, comfy mattress, power outlet, lights and good, clean blankets are really all you can ask for. Apart from that the whole place is well run and there's decent WiFi in the common areas. The location is also OK; although it's not super close to any of the main attractions, the hostel is in a quiet, safe neighborhood. The subway is a 10 minute walk away.
