The maids were amazing. Ours was incredibly friendly and would tell us to let her know when we left for the day so she could make the room. The rooftop patio is nice along with the free breakfast every morning. The reasoning for the 2 stars arises from the rest of the hotel. The evening bartender on the fifth floor bar was overcharging, pocketing cash, and adding tips to the bills we charged to the room. On top of this, the front desk staff tried to make us pay the 19% VAT which, by law, you do not have to pay if you charge meals and drinks to your room. When we confronted her about it, we had to have our Spanish speaking guide explain why we did not have to pay because Camilla (front desk attendant) forgot how to speak English as soon as we were unhappy. I wish I could give this hotel a better rating, but the customer service and corrupt staff just make that impossible.

Only 3 stars because of two major downsides: 1. The air conditioning in the rooms is VERY noisy. Almost so that you cannot sleep with it. Staff says that's how it's in every room so I wouldn't recommend staying here. 2. Showers look nice but the flow of water is so weak you can't even get your hair wet.

Otherwise it's a nice place to stay: Friendly staff, good restaurant and breakfast, modern and clean rooms and a very nice swimming pool area. Also wifi is good.

Wonderful central location. Staff friendly & accommodating. Room large & swimming terrace a real haven during 90+ degree heat. Only downsides are extremely slippery shower floors & skimpy towels.

Very well located if you are visiting or doing business in downtown Santiago. Hotel is pretty new, large and comfy rooms and as clean as it could be. Staff is ok and I always have to ask for my welcome drink as a preferred loyalty member :/

Pretty big dissatisfaction with front desk services. Room was reeking with cigarette smocke, and apperantly no other rooms available to relocate. Rooms facing the o'higgins are very noisy, one would need to have a set of ear plugs. Breakfast: quantity vs quality, bad coffee. This would not be a 4* hotel by accord. We do not recommend.

Everything o.k.! Do not expect a First Class hotel, but rooms and hallways have been refurbished, it is clean, the breakfast is good, but not spectacular. Everything you would expect in a hotel at this price level you will find here! Last but not least: excellent location, if you are visiting the city as a tourist!

Nice and centrally located mercure! Majority of sites are walking distance. The metro is steps from the front door. Premiere and suites have all been updated! I stayed 2 different times and had a suite on the top floor; it was modern and huge. The breakfast was the same everyday but sufficient. The front staff is prompt and helpful!

Nice and convenient hotel. Small gym but enough (never was crowded). Continental breakfast is included. Difficult for taxis and people to pick you up because of bus stop blocks hotel entrance. Nice views of Santiago from higher floors.

Very safe and secure hotel, well located in downtown area. There's a terrace a few floors up with a pool and bar where you can look out onto the street below and have dinner. Cleaning staff are almost too efficient, resetting room, cushions etc each day with impeccable detail.

I rate 3.5 star. Very secure as the main door is always locked and guarded. Staff is very friendly. Has in room safe. Bottled shampoo, shower gel and a fridge. Only superior room has tea coffee. Room is showing its age. Has outdoor swimming pool. Lack of parking & hard to load luggage but close to subway & attractions

Excellent, helpful, caring, attentive and friendly staff. Delicious food. Not many waiters spoke English so many amusing difficulties encountered when ordering anything! As for facilities, there was no lounge in which visitors could wait comfortably. We checked out and had a long 6 hour wait for a flight with no changing facilities or comfy lounge available. Hotel located in a very busy part of the city and throughout the hotel, modern jazz was played incessantly. As a foreign visitor, native Chilean pan pipes would have been more appropriate and far less stressful. Not much happening around the pool and therefore, the pool bar was seldom open.
