Beautiful hotel. Grounds are wonderful with amazing views. Most of the staff is excellent, friendly, helpful and kind. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. One front desk person was the exception to that rule. He makes you as you are interrupting his day, that you a beneath him and does nothing to make you feel welcome. This was a common conversation point shared by multiple guest we spoke with during our stay. Food was excellent, breakfast was great and the staff were wonderful. The pool, spa, workout gym, all staffed with professional helpful people. Rooms were generous is size although the AC was well under powered and had limits to how cool you could make the room. This created some uncomfortable sleep during our Stay. The staff that cleaned the rooms did a excellent job and were also very friendly and helpful. One thing we found not only inconvenient, but just a tad strange. We had a efficiency room with a stove, dishwasher and a large regriferator but no pots no pans, no plates, no bowls and no utensils. Even if you want to stay in and cook a meal, there is no way to cook it and no way to eat it. We asked around and this was standard. Overall, this is a great hotel with some killer views.

For the 6 nights we spent here over Easter, we need special arrangement due to the different arrival times, The hotel personnel were very patient and very helpful. The final arrangement is just perfect. We are very grateful.
We love this hotel. The view from the restaurant is magnificent; the size of the room and the view from the terrace are just perfect; the SPA facility and the gym program are top quality; The aquagym are the best I have ever seen! The breakfast buffet and dinner are top quality as well!
it's true that the front desk are professional, but could be a bit more outgoing and welcoming. The SPA front desk, restaurant and housekeeping personnel are very all lovely.response / report this review -

Great location, with an amazing view from the terrace. I stayed in a junior suite for 3 nights. The room was very spacious. Staff is very friendly, over all great hotel. Gym is super well equipped, even better than some of the "official gym's". Last but not least, the in-house restaurant (michelin recommended) was superb. However, the food from the bistro/bar on the other hand, is several levels below the restaurants niveau.

Amazing hotel and an amazing buffet Lunch. For only CHF 67, you can eat a very large quantity of very high quality food.

This place is a 4 star Google review if it had been renovated 10 or so years ago. Good view, good stay, good food and friendly enough style. Only downside it's the rooms/facilities look like from 10 years ago, beds could be much more comfortable for the kind of place it is, that said the restrooms in the suite are quite nice marble. Location is not bad in Lugano , a city full of hills, next to the train station and a 15 minute walk downhill walk to the center.
