Old gym turned into an great bar on two levels.
Good music, jazzy, funky, chill and alternative.
The cocktails are okay, the beer is good.
Great place to have a drink with friends, dance or even having a date.
The people there are usually "classy alternative"
You can smoke in front of the bar.
The only kind of negative point is that sometimes they ask for an entry price of 10 to 20 CHF. This can come as a surprise when you went there a few times without paying an entry.response / report this review -

Unconventional lounge bar constructed in an old gym. Nice events and good atmosphere . Drinks and beer are ok but not sophisticated. Perfect to spend time with friends or meet new people

A place that has never betrayed me. The atmosphere is so urban and friendly. I have experienced several interesting concerts in this place. Always looking forward to visit it again.

Nice bar with outdoor space. Popular between students. Music is often variating between a cool band playing live (with ticket entry price) and a barman's random mysic list (-1)

Turnhalle is a well rounded bar! It has a great atmosphere, great service, great prices, and most importantly it's at an excellent location. The bartender was very nice to me and treated me even better since I was a tourist. I'll be back next time for sure!

Good for an afterwork drink or snack, even for vegans they might have a soup or a sandwich. Very crowded on the weekends.

Cool place. Easy and uncomplicated. Young crowd. Music gets louder as the evening goes by. They even have a decibel meter installed 😉

Wonderful atmosphere with cozy feeling! In warmer months, outdoor seating is available, while in December Glühwein IS served in the outdoor area
